ATTACK! Pro Wrestling returned to Trinity Centre, Bristol on Saturday 20th May for another night of weird and wonderful professional wrestling. The show had sold out weeks in advance without a single match being announced so much respect to the fans and to ATTACK! as a company for making that happen. Sometimes when this sort of thing happens you do wonder if the show will succeed or flop. However when you're aware of what ATTACK! is more than capable of producing that small amount of doubt placed somewhere in the depths of your mind is laid to rest.
I was back in the ATTACK! audience for this one having missed the Cheltenham a week prior due to a good friend of mind getting married. Although I'm not sure who had more FUNAH on Saturday out of he and I. He'd been in Ireland on his honeymoon while I was at ATTACK! Pro Wrestling 'Soundtrack to a Head Drop'. I'd like to say I edged it but that would be rather selfish of me! Anyways, we're here to look back at this show, so grab yourself your drink of choice while I attempt to indulge you for the next few minutes. 'Remorseless' DAN Moloney vs 'The All Day Star' Ryan Smile This was a hot match to kick us off for the night. Moloney having recently returned to ATTACK! faced a man who's been putting together a rather impressive run of victories as of late. This one was an all out war for a good 10 minutes. Now, sometimes 10 minutes doesn't feel like long enough because sometimes wrestlers have a tendency to rush into things to fit as much action into the match as is possible. There was absolutely none of that here between WWE superstar Moloney and the All Day Star. Everything was very well paced and there was enough in the match to make you feel satisfied come the end of the contest. It was the All Day Star who continued his hot streak. I think I'm right in saying that Ryan has only lost one match so far this year in an ATTACK! ring (against Mondai Lykos at Club 100 THREE in January). My guess is that they're building him up for something big down the line. Possibly an ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Championship match with his former ally Chief Deputy Dunne? Or maybe a run with the 24/7 Championship? As for Moloney, he's certainly getting more and more of a reaction with the 'DAN' chants. He showed a few traits of being a babyface at times in this match. Whether that's the intention or not I really don't know. He played the role really well on the recent WWE UK Championship Special but then is also an incredible heel. I can't wait to see what's in store next in ATTACK! Pro Wrestling for the 'Remorseless' one! Winner - 'The All Day Star' Ryan Smile Love Making Demon vs Cletus Bush Brother vs Danny Jones vs EC Drew Now there were some rather interesting things about this match even before the opening bell. There were the two former members of the tag team Boogie Nights (Demon and Danny), Cletus is a guy I've never seen before and Drew Parker's role this time was that of an ECW fan. Now when you think of ECW fans you'd normally think of someone like Straw Hat Guy or Sign Guy. Drew literally looked like a cross between a smart ass wrestling fan and a Blue World Order version of Stevie Richards! Incredible! The match had everything that I love about ATTACK! from the comedic pelvic thrusts to the face of Drew Parker by the Love Making Demon to the great athletic abilities shown by all four men. Drew and Danny scored with some awesome diving moves and all I could think was "Randy Orton would absolutely detest this!" Ah well, screw Orton! I enjoyed this match and I think pretty much everyone else at Trinity Centre did as well. It was Drew who picked up the win here which surprised me I have to admit. I thought Danny would've picked up the win given his character change and his recent win over DAN Moloney in Cardiff at My Sacrifice. Not complaining about the result though. The match was really good and Drew picked up a big win here. Winner - EC Drew Jim Lee announced that Press Start 5 tickets had gone on sale, and sold out, during that previous week (glad I managed to snag one!) Jim then called for the Press Start Console to be brought to the ring so he could we could all "pay homage to it". Jim basically told the audience that the console needs to be taken care of because if anything happens to it, we're basically fucked. Jim then goes on to talk about how fun Press Start is when the sirens hit! The Anti-Fun Police come out in all of their no fun glory. When will Jim learn? Chief Deputy Dunne identified the Press Start Console as an "illegal contraband" (good word that!) and it was being confiscated by the Anti-Fun Police. Consequently, the No Fun Champion informed the audience that Press Start 5 was cancelled! Hey, we didn't like it but he's the man in charge of enforcing the law in the land of ATTACK! Pro Wrestling! The Brothers of Obstruction vs Bowl-A-Rama Ever since a still frame of CCTV footage was shared by Lloyd Katt, rumours began to circulate in the land of ATTACK! Pro Wrestling that there may have been some sort of foul play involving James and Leigh Obstruction when Bowl-A-Rama's beloved bowling alley was destroyed for a second time in recent months. Bowl-A-Rama came to Bristol for a fight and there was some hope that they'd find the answers to who supplied the dynamite which blew up the alley. It's fair to say that referee Joel Allen (making his debut in ATTACK! Pro Wrestling) had his hands full in this one with two teams eager to prove that they're better than the other. Both teams had large spells of dominance as they searched for the opening to be able to put their opponents away. It was the veteran team of The Brothers of Obstruction who managed to find that opening when Fat Katt looked to hit his moonsault on James. Lloyd was stopped in his tracks by the confession from James that it was both himself and Leigh who supplied the dynamite to blow up Bowl-A-Rama. This caused enough of a distraction for James to roll out of the way of the attempted moonsault while his brother pushed Splits into harms way and Leigh scored the pin on McPins to steal the victory for his team. Post match, Leigh took the mic from Jim Lee and announced that the only regret the Brothers of Obstruction had was that Splits and Lloyd weren't inside when the alley blew up. Don't think for one minute that Bowl-A-Rama will let this go lightly. In fact, I'd expect some sort of immediate redemption at Press Start 5 on June 2nd at Cathays Community Centre. Winners - The Brothers of Obstruction The Anti-Fun Police are back and this time Sergeant Banks has something to say. He tells the fans that alcohol is the reason we were all having fun and by order of Chief Deputy Dunne the bar was being closed for the evening and The Anti-Fun Police were going to confiscate all beverages with The Brothers of Obstruction throwing them into a rubbish bin. One thing I'd like to point out about all of this is that I was having loads of fun and I was drinking lemonade. I'm pretty sure my buddy Craig Gilbert was having fun as well and he's also a non-drinker. Nice try, Travis! This was stopped by The Pride of Wales Eddie Dennis who came down to the ring with two cans of Red Stripe told Travis that he sees some potential in him (as a drinker) and said he can either come into the ring for a wrestling match or a drink. Travis looked as though he was going to take up the latter of those two options until he threw the can offered to him into the rubbish bin which resulted in him being on the receiving end of one of Eddie's infamous forearm smashes to kickstart a wrestling match. Sergeant Banks vs 'The Pride of Wales' Eddie Dennis Now this was bloody brilliant! Much like the four way match from earlier in the night, this match had slices of everything that I love about ATTACK! Pro Wrestling. There was the humorous side which Travis is so great at showing, the amazing in ring skills that both men posses and The Anti-Fun Police shenanigans on the outside of the ring. A definite contender for match of the night in my opinion. After much back and forth action in this incredible contest it was Eddie Dennis who picked up the win with the Next Stop Driver. Eddie even put the match, and his opponent over on Twitter by saying how Travis Banks is the man. It's hard to disagree with him as well. Look at the CV of Travis in 2017 and you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who's been at his level this year. And I don't just mean in the UK, I'm talking worldwide. The only two men (who I've seen regularly) who are in the same league as Travis this year in my opinion are Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega. I don't think I can offer Travis a higher compliment than that! Kyle Fletcher vs Elijah Now this one had me interested from the word go because I'd only ever seen one Kyle Fletcher match prior to this one and Elijah has been impressing the heck out of me over the last six months or so with his work in both ATTACK! and Chaos. The dude is going to be an absolute superstar in the world of wrestling and there's absolutely no reason why he can't make it big in one of the top promotions such as Ring of Honor, New Japan, Impact or even WWE. Kyle was also really impressive here. He's a young man who's travelled to the UK from Australia to make it as a professional wrestler and if he continues to put on matches just like this, there's no reason why he also can't be working in one of the aforementioned top promotions. Big respect to promotions like ATTACK! and Fight Club: PRO for taking the chance on this relatively unknown guy and giving him the platform to show what he's capable of. The last time I remember ATTACK! doing that with an unknown man from that part of the world was with a guy called Travis Banks. History speaks for itself there. My highlight of this match, and one of my highlights of the night was Kyle's diving forearm to the outside where he ran up the ropes in the corner of the ring and smoothly executed a wonderful forearm dive. Sadly for the Australian native it wasn't enough to prevail here as Elijah picked up the win getting himself back on the right side of a result after recent setbacks against the likes of Morgan Webster, Drew Parker and Ryan Smile. Make sure you check this one out on demand if you can. It really was a fine performance by both men! Winner - Elijah #CCK and Chief Deputy Dunne vs 'Flash' Morgan Webster, Mike Bird and Wild Boar Our main event for the evening saw the ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Champion teaming with the ATTACK! Tag Team Champions to take on three men who consider themselves to be the top contenders in those particular divisions. Webster has staked a claim for the ATTACK! Pro Wrestling title since My Sacrifice at the beginning of April and Bird & Boar have been picking up wins for fun since they started teaming in ATTACK! This was everything you'd expect from an ATTACK! Pro Wrestling main event match. For starters, there were six legitimate main event wrestlers. Sometimes promotions put on main event matches and something looks out of place because you feel someone in that match doesn't come across as being at that level. None of that here though as these men are six of the best unsigned talents in this country right now. Hopefully it won't be long before they're all on the books of a major wrestling promotion! There were plenty of talking points from this match but the one I'm going to mention was one of the most impressive things I've ever seen in any wrestling ring. A load of headlocks had been applied by most of the wrestlers in this match. The Anti-Fun Police, banned from ringside earlier on in the contest, returned to the ring to give us a few more headlocks. In a great show of athleticism and balance, Webster ran across the backs of seven men and jumped off of the top rope out onto the Anti-Fun Police members on the outside of the ring who didn't get involved in the headlock shenanigans. This show is worth checking out just for this moment alone! It was the fan favourites who picked up the win here when Boar set up Chief Deputy Dunne for the Trapper Keeper. Webster then scored with a 450 Splash (which ended up being more of a 360), spiking Dunne's head into the mat to score the pin. Surely now this has to mean that Flash is the number one contender to Dunne's ATTACK! Pro Wrestling title? Winners - Mike Bird, Wild Boar and 'Flash' Morgan Webster Webster certainly issued the challenge to Dunne after the match. Dunne neither accepted, (nor declined for that matter) the match but instead cancelled Press Start 5 and ordered Los Federales Santos Jr. to destroy the Press Start Console. Everybody pleaded with Dunne to change his mind but he once again ordered Santos Jr. to destroy the console and so he did and the whole building went into the craziest frenzy I think I've ever witnessed. Did the Press Start Console control more than just the Press Start events? Does it have a hold over the entire ATTACK! Pro Wrestling locker room? What does this mean for Press Start 5 on June 2nd? What does this mean for the entire landscape of ATTACK! Pro Wrestling as we know it? Usually I'd say to follow ATTACK! on social media to find out but it appears as though the actions of Santos Jr. have completely screwed with the goings on with their Facebook and Twitter accounts. I guess if you have a ticket for Press Start 5, turn up to Cathays Community Centre to find out exactly what's next for ATTACK! You can check out this event on the ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Vimeo page at the cost of just £5.99 and believe me when I tell you that it's well worth it! Six awesome wrestling matches, the destruction of the Press Start Console and the uncertainty of the company moving forward makes Soundtrack to a Head Drop a must watch show!

ATTACK! Pro Wrestling returned for their second Cheltenham show of the year at the Frog & Fiddle. This was the first ATTACK! show since their biggest event of 2017 (My Sacrifice) and along with just about every other Raffler, I was intrigued to see how this show would play out after the incredible event at Cardiff Walkabout in April.
Sadly I wasn't in attendance for this show as a good friend of mine was getting married that same day. However ATTACK! had the VOD available on Vimeo the following day. An absolutely incredible effort to those involved in getting that sorted! 'Remorseless' Dan Moloney vs EC Drew vs Kyle Fletcher vs Love Making Demon Now where do I start? This one was quite intriguing just for the men (and animal) involved. Dan Moloney was fresh off of his appearances for WWE the previous weekend in Norwich, Drew Parker's gimmick this time was Paul D. Heyman, Kyle Fletcher, a 19 year old Aussie lad, was making his ATTACK! debut and Love Making Demon returned to the ring for the first time in I've no idea how long! It's great to see Demon back being as seedy as ever! The match was short but sweet with DAN picking up the win pinning Kyle Fletcher. I can't say I'm surprised at the result, but surprised that the match barely lasted five minutes. I'm interested to see more of what Fletcher has to offer so I'm glad he's been announced for the next show in Bristol on May 20th. Winner: 'Remorseless' Dan Moloney Elijah vs 'The All Day Star' Ryan Smile Now this was another intriguing contest. Both men don't really have rivalries going on at the moment so it was nice to see a one-on-one contest between these two damn good wrestlers. Ryan was fresh off of his two matches against The Elite at Easter (one for Rev Pro and the other for OTT) while Elijah had ended up on the wrong end of his rivalry with Drew Parker at 'My Sacrifice'. Both men looked really impressive here, but then that's nothing new. Elijah just seems to go from strength-to-strength while Ryan has been impressing fans and critics alike all over the country with his high flying style of wrestling. The intrigue in this one for me was the thought of "who'd come out victorious?" Would the young and hungry, yet often vicious Elijah get back on track against an ATTACK! veteran? Or would said veteran show Elijah how much passion he has? Well, it was kind of a combination of the two. As much as Ryan picked up the win with a Frog Splash, Elijah put in a great performance to show that he's no mug and is definitely someone to be taken seriously in ATTACK! Pro Wrestling. Will this be the last we see of them against each other in an ATTACK! ring? Or was this simply a one off? Personally, I'd love to see another match between Ryan Smile and Elijah! Winner: Ryan Smile Anti-Fun Police (James & Leigh Obstruction and Chief Deputy Dunne) w/ Los Federales Santos Jr. vs Bowl-A-Rama and Tyler Bate Three champions were involved in this incredible six man tag team match. Firstly we had the ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Champion Chief Deputy Dunne, the ATTACK! Pro Wrestling 24/7 Champion Lloyd Katt and, of course, the WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate. I have to say, it was great to see Tyler back in an ATTACK! ring for the first time since last years Under the Mistletour show in Bristol. This match had all of the usual antics you'd expect between these six men. Lots of shenanigans, lots of comedy and lots of...well...FUNAH! My favourite part was when Splits used Tyler as a bowling ball and rolled him into Chief Deputy Dunne. It reminded me of the scene in the movie Hook when Thud Butt rolls into a load of Captain Hook's men. Great movie, that! Anyway, back to the graps because shortly after this part of the match, the fun and games came to a halt with the Anti-Fun Police taking control of the WWE UK Champion for the next five minutes or so with Chief Deputy Dunne dishing out a lot of punishment to the Dudley native. Tyler managed to get himself back into the game however and after some chaotic moments, scored the win pinning one of the Brothers of Obstruction after a Tyler Driver 97 (I believe it was Leigh but with these Ron Jeremy moustache's it's even harder to know which one is which). However, the post match antics were almost as noteworthy as the match itself... Winners: Bowl-A-Rama and Tyler Bate After the three were done posing with their championships and bowling ball in celebration of their huge win, Tyler rolled up Lloyd Katt to become the new ATTACK! Pro Wrestling 24/7 Champion. Now, think about this for a moment. Tyler Bate won't be in attendance next weekend in Bristol because he'll be wrestling at NXT TakeOver: Chicago against Pete Dunne with the WWE United Kingdom title on the line. Now as we're all aware, the ATTACK! 24/7 title is on the line all day every day. Should Pete pin Tyler during that match to become the WWE UK Champion, surely that would make him the ATTACK! 24/7 Champion too? Just a little food for thought there... New ATTACK! Pro Wrestling 24/7 Champion Tyler Bate Sergeant Banks w/ Chief Deputy Dunne & Los Federales Santos Jr. vs 'Flash' Morgan Webster Before the match starts, Sergeant Banks wishes to address the "elephant in the room" and looks directly at Los Federales Santos Jr. It seems that Chief Deputy Dunne may have been unfaithful while Sergeant Banks has been away. As much as Dunne and Jr. made attempts to dispel that belief, they did their case no justice when Banks caught them locking lips on the outside of the ring at the beginning of the match prompting the Sergeant to call Jr. a "hussy". I can't blame him! I'm with the Sergeant on this one! Sergeant Banks was the one who came away with the win in this one when he scored with his signature springboard kick to the face after both Chief Deputy Dunne and Los Federales Santos Jr. had caused distractions to 'The Modfather'. With Webster having staked his claim for the ATTACK! Pro Wrestling title at 'My Sacrifice', does this loss now push him down the list of contenders? Or will Dunne try to emulate the efforts of Banks by defeating 'Flash'? Stay tuned to ATTACK! on social media to find out how this one develops! Winner: Sergeant Banks #CCK vs FSU Quite possibly the shortest heading I've ever provided for a match! However, this one changed before it even started. Jim Lea announced that it was Shay Purser's 18th birthday the day before and announced he'd now be a part of this match against Eddie Dennis, Mark Andrews and their partner 'Bruiserweight' Pete Dunne! #CCK and Shay Purser vs Defend Indy Wrestling Now I'm going to try to not give too much of this match away for the simple fact that it was absolutely epic and I strongly urge everyone to go out and get the VOD or, when it's available, the DVD. This is quite easily one of the best matches I've seen so far in 2017 and it should come as no surprise really when all six men have been in phenomenal form since the turn of the year in one way or another. Yes, I'm even including Shay in that! One thing I loved about this was at the beginning of the match whenever the hard cam was in play, you could see Eddie standing on the apron beaming from ear-to-ear. Clearly 'The Pride of Wales' was enjoying the fact that he was in there with his two best friends! And who could blame him? I can't think I've ever seen all three of them on the same team before, let alone remember the last time I saw that combination of wrestlers. Hell, I was just enjoying the fact that we got to see a reunion of Flips and Forearms (Mark and Pete) in ATTACK! Pro Wrestling! Not to discredit anything on the other side of the ring, it's fair to say that #CCK and Shay Purser hit some "sick fucking tag moves" when they finally managed to take control of the match. #CCK hit all of their usual spots plus a couple of new ones which is more than enough of a reason to go out and buy this VOD on Vimeo! It was the team of Defend Indy Wrestling who won this one. Shay had had enough it seemed and retrieved the birthday cake presented to him by 'The Bruiserweight' before the start of the match. He then berated the Cheltenham audience before turning around and realising he was all alone in the ring with Dunne. Purser dropped the cake and was then dropped face first onto it courtesy of a Pete Dunne Pedigree for the 1-2-3. Oh, and Shay got more cake afterwards as well with Mark, Eddie and Pete forcing the remainder of his birthday treat into his face! Winners: Defend Indy Wrestling So that wraps up this review of ATTACK! Pro Wrestling's recent event Teenagers With Attitude. You can't help but wonder if this show was named in honour of Shay Purser really. Anyway, this was a fantastic event and one you don't want to miss so if you haven't already, please go out and buy the VOD on Vimeo for just £5.99. It really is a bargain and the main event is a match of the year candidate! ATTACK! Pro Wrestling will be back on May 20th when they return to Bristol for Soundtrack to a Head Drop. No matches have been announced thus far but the show has in fact sold out for the Trinity Centre! If you haven't got a ticket, make sure you get the VOD when it's available on Vimeo! Every ATTACK! show at the moment is seemingly an event that you can't afford to miss! On the biggest night of the wrestling year, ATTACK! headed to Cardiff Walkabout for their fourth show at this particular venue. It was my first time at Walkabout so went in open minded not knowing what to expect from the venue. It turned out to be a nice sized venue with plenty of standing room for the 500 or so rafflers who would be in attendance.
I arrived in Cardiff on the train from Bristol at around 1700hrs. I loaded up Google Maps to try and find how to get to the venue and luckily my map reading skills aren't as bad as I thought they were. Once I'd found Walkabout, which was a couple of minutes walk from the train station, I got myself a drink and watched a few minutes of the Arsenal vs Manchester City match on TV before heading towards the Weatherspoons down the road where I met a few other members of the ATTACK! Pack. After a couple of drinks there, we headed back to Walkabout for about 1845hrs, which was the time the doors opened. While we were waiting in the queue, The Anti-Fun Police came outside to make sure we weren't having any fun while waiting for the show to start. I was handed a slip of paper by one of the members of the Brothers of Obstruction which I was told to take to my local police station. The slip of paper promptly got thrown at Chief Deputy Dunne when his back was turned. Once the doors opened, we quickly found a place to stand and waited for the show to start. There were a few 'Beano' chants coming from our section aimed at 'The Original Badman' himself who was working the show as security for the night. The show started on time with an amazing video showing moments from ATTACK's history with Creed's epic track 'My Sacrifice' being used as the soundtrack. Very fitting indeed! Our ring announcer for the first half of the show was Jade (or Sexy Jim as she's seemingly been nicknamed by the fans!) EC-Drew vs Elijah - Extreme Rules Match Drew pulled off the SanDrew gimmick previously used at this venue for this match and having spoken to him about it, it's the one venue where you just have to use that gimmick. The entrance itself along with 500 fans singing Enter Sandman at the tops of their voices is a fantastic experience to be a part of. Anything these guys could use to gain an advantage on the other in this match, they did. If it wasn't nailed down, it was in danger of being broken! This was anything from the Singapore Cane which SanDrew brought to the ring, the tables which Elijah found behind the barrier, the chairs both men acquired from underneath the ring, the staples, the drawing pins (thumbtacks for our American readers) or the salt. Yes, you read that correct ladies and gentlemen, salt! After Drew had emptied the bag of drawing pins into the ring, Elijah powerbombed him onto them and literally rubbed salt into the wounds of Drew Parker. Now, I've seen some sick stuff in wrestling before and this was certainly up there among them. I've had salt in open wounds before and I can tell you now, it bloody stings! The match had seemingly come to an abrupt end when Drew was sent crashing off the top rope by Elijah through two tables set up at ringside. Drew was aided to the back by the personnel at ringside and Eljah demanded the referee count him out. Uhh, I don't think you're supposed to have count outs in an Extreme Rules match? The referee got to the count of eight when the familiar music of SaDrew hit and out came the nephew of the Drewiginal Sheik. Hmm, I like that one! SaDrew came out and took the attack (no pun intended) to Elijah. SaDrew finished the match by spearing Elijah through a table to pick up the win to settle this rivalry. This was an awesome way to kick off the show with the crowd firmly in the corner of Drew Parker, as they always are. I'm not sure where both men go from here but all I know is that both men are better off for having this rivalry which dated back to January. Two extremely (pun intended that time) talented guys who will both be doing amazing things in the land of ATTACK! throughout the rest of 2017, no doubt. 'Flash' Morgan Webster vs Charlie Sterling Sterling was making his first appearance back in ATTACK! in 2017 while 'Flash' was wrestling his second match in ATTACK! since his return from injury. It's fair to say that the Bristol native, Charlie Sterling, got a less than appreciative reception from the audience. He came out with an arrogant swagger and a cup of tea and a silly beret hat, as he's been doing in ICW for the past few months. The crowd did literally everything they could to get under the skin of Charlie Sterling in this one. There were several rather unsavoury chants directed at the former Charlie Garrett, but if you've read my blogs before, I try to keep things as family friendly as possible so I shan't repeat some of those chants in this review. Charlie played the role of the villain very well to be fair to him. I do remember shouting something at him to which he shouted "Shut up you Taffy". Uh, hate to break it to you bro, I'm from the same neck of the woods as you! Just a nicer part of Bristol though! 'Flash' was the victor in this one, transitioning perfectly from a tornado DDT into The Strangler which Sterling submitted to. Another fine match to add to the opener between EC-Drew and Elijah. The feeling in the air was that after the first two matches, we were in for a special night full of awesome surprises! ATTACK! 24/7 Championship - Owen Warren vs Shay Purser Shay came out first, trolling all of us by using 'Bruiserweight' Pete Dunne's entrance music. It was before this match that Kayfabe literally died. There had been a rumour for a long, long time that Oli Sandler of The Ringside Perspective and Jim Maitland of Turning Face were indeed one of a kind. Now, unless there was some sort of body double or something, the VOD can confirm that this rumour is simply just a rumour. Kayfabe is officially dead to me! Warren came out to Bill Goldberg's entrance music with the 500 capacity crowd chanting as one as the champion made his way to the ring. Shay started the match, back Warren into a corner, but the champion retaliated by knocking Purser on his keister! Warren then followed this up with not one, but two spears as the crowd almost blew the roof off of Cardiff Walkabout! As Warren looked to put Shay away with a Jackhammer Slam, the Rogue Ref countered and caught the champion with an inside cradle to pick up the win and his fourth ATTACK! Pro Wrestling 24/7 championship. As Shay had stipulated prior to the match, because Warren lost, he was no longer able to compete for the title again. Shay took the opportunity to rub salt into the wounds before Nixon Newell came out to challenge the newly crowned champion... ATTACK! 24/7 Championship - Shay Purser vs Nixon Newell As has seemingly become the norm, I was abducted by two masked men before Nixon made her entrance and replaced by a bloke who looks exactly like me and seemingly enjoys singing along to B*Witched. I'm not sure what's going on with all of this but it's getting a bit silly now! There was a nice little moment of redemption for the family of Warren at the start of this match. Nixon had Shay's arms locked behind his back as she took him around ringside allowing fans to chop the chest of the 15 year old snooker player. Two of those people happened to be Warren's wife Sophie and his sister-in-law Fern. A moment for the entire family to share! Now, because he's a referee many people might think that Shay Purser can't wrestle. I tell you what, he might be a little bastard (I apologise for breaking my PG rule there), but he certainly put up one hell of a fight in this short match. Credit to you, Shay...we still hate you though! Still, all of that fight didn't stop The Girl With the Shiniest Wizard from defeating Purser to become ATTACK! Pro Wrestling 24/7 Champion. Certainly a great moment, especially when it's been heavily rumoured that Nixon is headed to the WWE. It kind of threw a curveball at us because we're now left to wonder not if Nixon will be back, but when she'll be back. I'm sure she'll be a fighting champion between now and her eventual departure, assuming the rumours are true that is! ATTACK! 24/7 Tag Team Championship - Bowl-A-Rama vs #CCK - Two-out-of-three falls This one has been brewing since before Christmas and it all came to a head in this fantastic contest. In my opinion, this was the best match between these two teams who for me are arguably the best in ATTACK! right now. But then, there's a great tag division all across the board. Now that I'd been returned to where I was standing by those masked men who'd abducted me about 15 minutes earlier, I was able to (metaphorically) sit back and enjoy watching two of my favourite teams in the country. It's safe to say that it got off to a flying start! Quite literally a flying start as Splits McPins scored with a Suicide Dive taking out both members of #CCK. Lykos was thrown back into the ring and Lloyd scored with a rolling fireman's carry, Splits scored with a Senton from the top rope and Lloyd followed it up with his middle rope moonsault allowing Bowl-A-Rama to gain the early advantage taking the first fall. Sexy Jim announced that there would be a 20 second rest period, however Chris Brookes wasn't about to let this happen as he unloaded on both members of Bowl-A-Rama with several steel chair shots. The next few minutes were nothing short of pure domination as #CCK tortured and tormented Splits. This was all up until Lykos attempted to hit the always failing Brainbusters and Splits was able to tag his partner into the match. The action soon spilled to the outside with all four men ending up in the crowd. #CCK managed to seize the advantage by rolling Splits back into the ring and then hit their Gory Special/flipping cutter move (I'd love to know what it's called if anyone can help a brother out) to pick up the pinfall to tie the match at 1-1. The third fall contained just as much excitement as the first two as firstly Lloyd Katt kicked out of the Gory Special/Cutter which his partner had previously succumbed to, and Lykos narrowly escaped from the combination of moves which proved to be his downfall in the first fall of the match. The third fall was decided remarkably with Mondai Lykos hitting a Brainbuster. Yes, you read that right ladies and gents! Mondai Lykos, the Pound Shop Liger himself, hit a Brainbuster to Lloyd Katt to score the pin and ensure that #CCK were three time ATTACK! Pro Wrestling tag team champions! Lykos even seemed surprised himself that he'd done it. Respect to him for never giving up and for getting his Walkabout Moment (if that's even a thing?) Up next was the interval which allowed us all to refresh and get some merchandise. I picked myself up a shirt each from Nixon Newell and Morgan Webster. Always nice to help out independent wrestlers as well as having a chat with them. You may not get much time with them sometimes, but it's always cool to speak to them and take pictures etc. The raffle was up next followed by the costume contest. The four finalists were Rowan reprising his Leva Bates get up from about a year prior when she came to Pro Wrestling Chaos, Kyle dressed as Chief Deputy Dunne, Stuart dressed as Tama Tonga and a couple (who's names I didn't catch) dressed as the BROKEN Hardyz. Of course, the Hardyz won in an apparent landslide victory! Congrats to them! Bird & Boar vs The Brothers of Obstruction Now it's fair to say that Leigh and James' look has, shall we say, changed somewhat. They're now the health and safety officers of ATTACK! Pro Wrestling and are sporting (pen) moustache's. There were plenty of comparisons being thrown around in the crowd as to who they look like. Some of those are as follows: - Ron Jeremy - Mario and Luigi - The Chuckle Brothers Now, I personally can't decide who the look like most, but I do like Rikki Francom's suggestion of everyone wearing Ron Jeremy masks at the next event. I'm not sure that complies with the family friendly atmosphere of Bristol if it were to happen there, though. Bird and Boar had seemingly turned face by virtue of who their opponents were on this night. Not that that's a bad thing because they are one of the finest teams to come out of the UK and more specifically, South Wales. The certainly got a heroes reception to anything they did which was pretty cool. It was the men who currently hold the ICW Tag Team titles who picked up the win in this one with Mrs Patterson's Revenge. For me, this has to put them in line to challenge #CCK either in Cheltenham on May 13th or Bristol on May 20th. If that is the case then I'm hoping it's going to be the Bristol show as I'm not able to attend Cheltenham. Dan Moloney vs 'The Welsh Dragon' Danny Jones I was surprised that this one made the VOD given Moloney's involvement in the WWE United Kingdom tournament, but then I guess different wrestlers have different deals. The second thing about this match was Danny Jones. No longer is he 'Raving' Danny Jones, he's now sporting some Finn Balor esque facepaint and a singlet as opposed to the whistle and bright trunks. The dude looks the business now so let's hope he can impress in the ring as much as he is in appearance. Much to my surprise, it was Jones who picked up the win in this match with a GTS. Hopefully this is the start of something huge for the former raver in ATTACK! as he's transitioned into The Welsh Dragon. I could see Danny going on a run as 24/7 Champion at some stage this year. Hopefully it's not too long before we see some gold around his waist. ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Championship - Chief Deputy Dunne vs Eddie Dennis This match had been four months in the making. Ever since their epic match at the 2016 Under the Mistletour war in Cardiff, Chief Deputy Dune had been a thorn in the side of Eddie Dennis. Now for those who've seen that match, you'll know that it was an absolute war. And if that can be considered a war, there are no words to describe just how brutal this one was. If people though Eddie chokeslamming Dunne off of the roof at Cathays was awesome, I'm not sure what adjectives there are to describe the part of this match where Eddie Crucifix bombed Chief Deputy Dunne off of the stairs onto the Anti-Fun Police at Cardiff Walkabout; a moment which sent the fans in attendance into an absolute frenzy. The Anti-Fun Police made their presence felt later on in the match. Eddie had just scored with a Next Stop Driver from the middle rope, however the Anti-Fun Police pulled the referee from the ring as the hand was coming down for the three count. Some would argue, myself included, that it was indeed a three count. However, if the ref says it was two, then the match must go on. And so it did, and after more interference from The Anti-Fun Police, the odds seemed to be in the favour of the No Fun champion. The former champion was able to battle off Los Federales Santos Jr., as well as James and Leigh Obstruction. However, his battle was in vein as Chief Deputy Dunne scored with his Flatliner/DDT combo to retain his No Fun title. After the match the Anti-Fun Police took the attack to Eddie until Bowl-A-Rama made the save. As the numbers game started to catch up to Splits and Lloyd, the glass shattered and the familiar sound of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's music hit the arena. Given what happened at the Kris Travis Tag Team Invitational when this song hit, I assumed it was going to be CJ Banks. However what we got was even better in the return of the Love Making Demon. Sorry CJ! Demon hit the ring and immediately caught the No Fun champion with a Stone Cold Stunner before he fell victim to a 3-on-1 assault. As the Anti-Fun Police had seemingly gained the upper hand, the sound of The Jam's 'In The City' played and out came 'Flash' Morgan Webster to save the day. Or did he? Surrounded by the Anti-Fun Police, Webster removed his coat to reveal a black shirt signifying that he'd become the newest member of the Anti-Fun Police. Or had he? Once Chief Deputy Dunne's back was turned, Webster ripped off the black shirt to reveal an ATTACK! Pro Wrestling shirt. Webster then launched an all out attack on all four members of the Anti-Fun Police as Bowl-A-Rama and Demon recovered from their respective beat downs to assist Webster in disposing of ATTACK!'s most hated group of wrestlers. Webster got just enough time alone in the ring with the No Fun champion to lock in The Strangler and the champion tapped out. The show ended with 'Flash' standing tall in the centre of the ring and one has to assume that he's next in line for a title opportunity. Assuming that's the route ATTACK! goes down, it probably just a case of whether that match takes place in Cheltenham or Bristol in May. I'm sure we'll find out the answer soon enough! After the show, I spent a good 15 minutes or so talking with Mike Bird about his match, ATTACK! in general and other promotions he's currently working for. I've always got a lot of time to talk to Mike because A) He's a top bloke and B) He's a damn fine worker and really knowledgeable about wrestling. So that just about wraps up another ATTACK! Pro Wrestling review. This was an incredible event full of shocks, surprises, returns and most of all...FUNAH! By the way, great idea to have the 'FUNAH SECTION' signs. I'm sorry, I don't know the persons name who made them. ATTACK! now rolls onto Cheltenham for their next event 'Teenagers With Attitude' on May 13th and then to Bristol the following weekend for 'Soundtrack to a Head Drop'. I hope this doesn't mean that we won't have a RaffleMania event this year which for the past two years has been held in Bristol around May or June time. If you've never been to an ATTACK! event before, I strongly urge you to get a ticket to either the Cheltenham or Bristol show because ATTACK! are on fire right now and there's a lot of buzz about them online. Tickets and merchandise can be found at http://attackprowrestling.bigcartel.com/ Also, remember to check out ATTACK! Pro Wrestling's on demand service over at https://vimeo.com/attackprowrestling So, it's been a full week since the awesome weekend that was the Kris Travis Tag Team Invitational (KTTTI). I had planned on getting this review out a lot earlier than this, but sadly real life gets in the way sometimes and it's difficult to keep on top of these reviews.
Sunday's events kicked off in the morning with the live Wrestling Friends podcast with 'Flash' Morgan Webster. Webster's guests were 'Bronco' Brendan White, Jim Lea and 'Fat Cat' Lloyd Katt. This podcast sent us all through a massive range of emotions. I can't quite explain what the emotion was listening to Brendan White telling his story of his battle with Cancer. It was obviously sad to listen to but then when the story had a happy ending it was overwhelming happiness. I said on the brief video that I recorded that I've always respected Brendan in the ring and now I have another reason to respect him, too. Jim Lea talks about meeting Pete Dunne at a training school, how they both started ATTACK! together, why he stopped wrestling, how he left ATTACK! and subsequently returned. The main bulk of the humour was supplied to us by Lloyd Katt who gave us a brief rundown on the history of Bowl-A-Rama and how he started wrestling alongside Splits McPins. On the subject of Splits, he suffered a broken nose and Lloyd announced that the champion bowler was unable to wrestle on the card later in the evening. However, he would be doing everything in his power to find a new partner. Just as 'The Modfather' was wrapping up the podcast, Elijah Dahl came out of nowhere to assault our host...sorry...Facilitator to set up a match for the evening's show. After the podcast, I had the chance to meet up with an old friend and work colleague of mine who moved over to Wales a year or so ago. I hadn't seen him since he moved over the to the other side of the River Severn, so it was awesome to spend some time with him and his bride to be before their wedding in May. After a bite to eat and browsing around Cardiff city centre, it was back to Cathays for night two of the Kris Travis Tag Team invitational. Before the show began, I had chance to have a quick catch up with Jim Maitland from Turning Face (@Jim_TurningFace on Twitter). He spoke very enthusiastically about a few opportunities he'd been afforded over the recent months; mainly being able to work Morgan Webster's first match back at Chaos from a couple of weeks prior and then also this event where 'The Modfather' made his return to ATTACK! If you've not checked out Jim's awesome work before, make sure you do because, as I like to say, he's a bit good at what he does! I managed to grab a front row seat with my friend Henry Arnold and we were set for what we knew was going to be another incredible event. On our seats were raffle tickets. It was explained to us that these were given to people in the front row for a "bonus raffle" in the show. We had absolutely no idea what this meant, but hey, anytime we get more raffles in ATTACK! the better! The familiar sound of Reel Big Fish's 'Beer' hit our ears and ATTACK's ring announcer Jim Lea made his entrance. It may be a bias opinion because I absolutely love RBF, but this has to be my favourite entrance music in all of ATTACK! Plus, it suits Jim perfectly! Jim welcomed us back to Cathays Community Centre, or as I'm going to start calling it, the ATTACK! Arena! KTTTI Semi Final - Bird & Boar vs Project Lucha This one started with Bird and Boar jumping Martin Kirby and El Ligero from behind. This had become a theme over the weekend with rule breakers looking to gain an early advantage on the fan favourite wrestlers. I don't mind it happening once, or sometimes even twice on a show, but for my liking it happened far too often during the KTTTI. One of the highlights in this one was when Bird told Boar to get his foot up to the top rope for Bird to use it to gain a further advantage on Martin Kirby. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts at "getting it up" (minds out of the gutter please ladies and gents. This is a family blog!), the crowd got behind Boar in the hope that he could successfully hoist his foot up onto the turnbuckle. Finally, after months of failed attempts, Wild Boar finally managed to successfully stretch those hamstrings enough to get his foot on the top turnbuckle. It was all in vain, however, as Martin Kirby managed to reverse Mike Bird's attack and sent 'Ginger Jesus' head first into Boar's boot to get his team back into the match. The ending came about when Bird and Boar scored with Mrs Patterson's Revenge on Martin Kirby. Referee Shay Purser only got to a count of two as El Ligero came back in to break up the pin. Boar threw Ligero from the ring leaving Kirby alone in a one-on-two situation. As Boar attempted to feed Kirby to the vulture known as Mike Bird, the Yorkshire native managed to avoid punishment from Bird, came back round, caught Boar with a big boot to send him out of the ring and used a backslide on Bird to keep him down for the three count. An awesome match to star the show in my opinion. There was a fantastic show of respect after the match from Bird and Boar to Project Lucha. As Mike Bird put it so eloquently on Instagram "Some things are bigger than being bastards". KTTTI Semi Final - The Models vs Lloyd Katt & ??? One of the big questions of the show was "Who is going to be Lloyd Katt's Partner?" Several suggestions were thrown around by members of the ATTACK! faithful in attendance with many people thinking Mark Andrews would be the man. Remember the "bonus raffle" I mentioned earlier? Well, the winner of that raffle would be the man to partner Lloyd Katt. Jim Lea drew the winning ticket as number 316 and it just so happened that the person holding ticket number 316 was the man who likes to drink as much beer as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin - CJ Banks! To be fair, CJ wrestled exactly like 'Stone Cold' in this one. He used a Lou Thesz Press, stomped a few mudholes (and walked them dry!) and, of course, drank beer. The humour in this was supplied when 'Fat Cat' tried teaching CJ how to bowl, but ended up falling flat on his face! The Models then tried to pick up Splits McPins' ball but what they neglected to realise was that they didn't have neither the power or the technique to be able to lift ATTACK's version of The Sword in the Stone. Even the assistance of CJ Banks wasn't enough to get the ball off of the canvas. After a few jokes about fingers in holes, Lloyd Katt came back in and picked the ball up! Piece of cake! The Models advanced in this second semi final of the evening scoring the pin on CJ Banks after a 3-D, this was even after initially losing after CJ pulled off a bit of Twin Magic with Sam Bailey! This match was awesome. Some people say there's no room for comedy in wrestling and, in my opinion, they couldn't be more wrong. This one is definitely worth watching on the VOD. Non-Tournament Match - Mondai Lykos vs Mark Andrews Sadly, this one didn't make the VOD, which is a shame because it was absolutely awesome. I can only assume for the obvious reason of Mark's WWE deal. I still think it sucks that the smaller companies such as ATTACK! aren't able to showcase guys like Mandrews on VOD/DVD when other promotions are able to. I'll never begrudge any wrestler for making the choice to go to WWE to earn guaranteed money, but it does leave me with a bitter taste for those who are unable to attend shows and rely on DVD/VOD releases to see some of their favourite wrestlers. Ah well, it is what it is unfortunately. Lykos was in full Lykos mode here, giving the crowd lots of verbal and being on the receiving end of lots of "Shut up, Lykos!" responses. Brave for a wolf without his buddy by his side. (Just a side note, Chris Brookes wasn't on this show. Instead he was busy winning the Rev Pro tag team titles with Travis Banks). The one spot that gets me every time with Mondai Lykos, is the springboard Spanish Fly. If one move could epitomise how much Lykos has improved over the past 12 months, this would be it. If one spot in a match were to define Lykos, though, it'd certainly be the failed Brainbuster's. Poor little wolf. He might actually hit one one day! Speaking of Brainbuster's, this match came to its conclusion rather ironically when Mandrews called fora Brainbuster of his own. Lykos was able to reverse it into a pinning combination and that 15 year old snooker player, Shay Purser, counted a rather quick three to give his buddy Mondai Lykos arguably the biggest win of his career so far! I have to say as well, this is the best match I've ever seen Lykos have in a one-on-one situation. He and Brookes have had countless amounts of awesome matches over the past year, but this for me really helped to establish Mondai as a singles competitor. Non-Tournament Match - Elijah Dahl vs 'Flash' Morgan Webster It's been a long, long time coming but after being away from an ATTACK! Pro Wrestling ring for almost 12 months, 'The Modfather' is back and after what had happened that morning, he was in no mood to be taking any sort of crap from Elijah Dahl, who again attacked 'Flash'. This time, it was a pre-bell sneak attack. Once again, far too many of them. I know they're great for heat, but as mentioned earlier, we had too many of them over the course of this weekend. This match served an incredible purpose in my opinion. They perfectly exhibited Elijah's dominating style while putting Webster's grit and determination over awesomely. A very good story to tell and it was executed very well by two of the brightest stars on the ATTACK! Pro Wrestling roster. Webster picked up the win here using The Strangler, forcing Elijah to tap out. We did have an appearance from EC-Drew when Elijah thought it'd be a great idea to stay away from Webster when 'Flash' started to show the passion that Elijah had earlier questioned him on. However, what Elijah wasn't counting on was Drew Parker coming through the curtain with a Singapore Caine. I'm expecting a match between these two to take place at the Cardiff Walkabout show on April 2nd. As for Webster, it was great to see him back in the ring doing what he does best. Up until this point I'd see two of his matches since his return and I could not be happier to see him back. Let's just hope that he can soon get back to the heights that he was at before the unfortunate injury last year that cost him almost a full year of his career! The interval was up next, and it was only a brief one as there was lots of raffling to get through. I picked myself up a Defend Indy Wrestling shirt from Mark Andrews and had a few minutes talking to him about his match with Mondai Lykos. We both agreed that he should be working for bigger companies like PROGRESS, ICW and Rev Pro and hopefully that isn't too far off because he's an incredible worker. The raffle was up just after the interval. There were a dozen or so prizes (including the usual t-shirt and DVD prizes) to win so I'll try to list as many of them as I can remember: - Morgan Webster's Lionhat - 5 bottles of some form of wine/champagne (these were individual prizes) - The "Player 1" and "Player 2" signs from the "Press Start" shows - An in ring photo op with ATTACK! Pro Wrestling 24/7 Champion, Warren Owen (who lost the title but the chap who won it had to return the title to Warren because he wasn't allowed to appear on the ATTACK! Vimeo channel) - The KTTTI banner signed by all of the wrestlers in the tournament. ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Championship Match - Chief Deputy Dunne (w/ Los Federales Santos Jr.) vs Nixon Newell The Anti-Fun Police were out first. Chief Deputy Dunne said that there was no man on the ATTACK! roster who could beat him for the title, so Nixon Newell answered this apparent open challenge. And for those who think they can see me singing along to Nixon's entrance music, they're sadly mistaken. Basically, during the break, I was abducted and replaced by someone who looks like me and apparently likes B*Witched. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. The chap who was sat in my seat was kind enough to take some notes for me and he said that this was one of the best matches of the weekend and having watched it back on Vimeo, I can only agree with this. For me, Damien Dunne is one of the most under rated wrestlers in the UK at this moment in time. He knows how to get under the skin of an audience both in the ring and on the mic. And branding the ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Championship the 'No Fun Title' was a stroke of Anti-Fun genius! There were too many awesome spots to talk about during this match so I'll pick out a couple of my favourite moments for you: - Of course, we had the usual "fun" chants directed at Chief Deputy Dunne who always reacts perfectly to them. - There was the cross body off the top rope to the outside by Nixon to Chief Deputy Dunne and Los Federales Santos Jr. Nixon did take a brief moment to snack on Pringles given to her by a fan in the front row. - The springboard lungblower which Dunne connected with only for Nixon to power out of at the count of one. Unfortunately for Nixon Newell, the ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Championship didn't change hands in this match. After Newell scored with a Destroyer, she covered the champion but lurking on the outside was Los Federales Santos Jr. who pulled Chief Deputy Dunne's foot onto the bottom rope meaning Shay broke the count at two. Nixon realised what happened and, from the apron, hit Santos Jr. with a PK to send him crashing. Turning her focus back to Dunne, Nixon climbed to the top rope but when she came down, The man from Scotland Yard caught her with a vicious Spear before nailing Nixon with the flatliner/DDT move he's used so effectively as of late to retain his title. With this successful defence of his ATTACK! Pro Wrestling title, you have to believe that Chief Deputy Dunne will go on to face Eddie Dennis at Cardiff Walkabout on April 2nd in a rematch from Gorilla Pressed. As for Nixon Newell? Well, I'm sure she'll finally be getting her hands on Chris Brookes in what's likely to be Nixon's final ATTACK! match before her trip across the Atlantic to join Los Federales Santos Sr. in Orlando, Florida! Shooting Star Four Way - 'Raving' Danny Jones vs 'The Very Best' Sam Bailey vs EC-Drew vs 'Bronco' Brendan White This match was named in honour of Kris Travis. It was a way for guys not in the tournament or who had been eliminated from the tournament to pay their respects to Kris Travis. As always, the one question I asked about this was "Which ECW legend will Drew Parker wrestle as tonight?" It turned out to be 'The Drew Beast' Rhyno. I'm still waiting on Bam Bam BigeDrew to make an appearance. It was fair to say that Brendan White got the best pop out of the four. Amazing to see really because the guy is immensely talented and, in my opinion, is destined for huge things in wrestling. The main talking point in this match were the injuries. 'Raving' Danny Jones had a cut under the eye that looked pretty bad at first. I've seen wrestling since and he appears to be OK now, thankfully. The other injury was to Drew Parker. It seemed to happen when he attempted a sunset flip off the top rope and landed awkwardly on his foot. Initially I thought he'd broken an ankle or his foot, but it was apparently soft tissue damage. It was Brendan White who picked up the win in this one after scoring with a Black Hole Slam on Danny Jones (I'm guessing that's what Brendan is calling the move anyway. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). I sincerely hope Brendan is afforded more opportunities moving forward in ATTACK! Also, I really, really want to see Sam Bailey gracing the ATTACK! ring in the future. I was thoroughly entertained by his in ring work over the course of the KTTTI weekend. After the conclusion of this match, it was announced that (after a few last minute donations from members of the audience) the final amount raised for Cavendish Cancer Care was £5,025. This really was an amazing achievement by everyone involved so anyone who purchased a ticket, raffle tickets or put some money into the donation buckets, you should be extremely proud of the contribution which you made. KTTTI Final - The Models vs Project Lucha The final of the first ever Kris Travis Tag Team Invitational was contested between four of Trav's best friends in wrestling: Martin Kirby and El Ligero vs Danny Hope and Joey Hayes and the way this match went, I can't think of a more suitable that this match could've played out. The first thing worth noting about this match is the attire of Martin Kirby. Martin was wearing his Project Ego attire. For those who don't know, that was the name of the tag team of Martin Kirby and Kris Travis. And boy were they a successful team! The second thing I'd like to mention is the absolutely amazing level comedy these teams entertained us with. As I said earlier, some people will tell you that there's no room for comedy in wrestling. If you're one of those people, sit back and enjoy this match. It was 45 minutes of incredible entertainment and I've listed just a few of the moments below: - Both members of The Models squatting referee Shay Purser. - The WWE taunts traded between Danny Hope and El Ligero. - Joey Hayes pulling Martin Kirby's "hair". - The chicken fight leading to Joey Hayes hurting his willy. I got a small "rub it better" chant going after this part of the match. Shay refused to help Joey in his time of need and subsequently disqualified both teams, announcing himself as the winner. With that, the glass shattered and out came CJ Banks to a huge ovation from the Cardiff faithful. CJ hit the ring, nailed Shay with a Stone Cold Stunner and was announced as the referee. Heck, he even had the zebra stripes...well, sort of. He had what looked like the tights worn by Drewy Funk the night before and put them on like a shirt. From then on it was wrestling until the final bell with the highlight being Danny Hope's dive from the ceiling onto the other three men in the match. That ceiling really should come with a health and safety warning attached to it with the amount of people who've come off the top of it since ATTACK! started using the old Bingo Hall at Cathays. The ending came about after a series of attempted pinning combinations between Joey Hayes and Martin Kirby with the latter finally being able to keep 'Hot Stuff' down for a three count to win the first ever Kris Travis Tag Team Invitational for Project Lucha. After the match, the ATTACK! faithful showed their respects to both teams for their efforts over the course of this magnificent weekend. The entire ATTACK! roster and fans surrounded the ring to applaud both Project Lucha and The Models for an incredible main event match. Danny Hope took the mic and thanked Mark Andrews for his part in arranging the weekend and also thanked the fans for letting them come to ATTACK's home to entertain us. Believe me when I say this, it's the fans who should be thanking the wrestlers for the entertainment they provided us with. That just about wraps up the weekend that was the 2017 ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Kris Travis Tag Team Invitational and we now look forward to the next event, 'My Sacrifice', at Cardiff Walkabout on April 2nd which I'll be in attendance for. Until then, make sure you follow ATTACK! on all forms of social media, get yourself a ticket to 'My Sacrifice' and check out their past shows on Vimeo. The weekend of March 4th and 5th hosted the first ever ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Kris Travis Tag Team Invitational (KTTTI) from Cathays Community Centre in Cardiff, South Wales. The aim for the weekend was to raise as much money for Cavendish Cancer Care as was humanly possible over the two days, as well as having an absolute blast with the amazing wrestling which we had witnessed.
