Rev Pro was back at The Cockpit after a rather underwhelming Cockpit show last time out. This time, the company was experimenting by broadcasting this live over its RPW on demand service on Pivotshare. Yes, there were some teething issues but nothing on the scale of the old ROH and Evolve iPPV. A success then? Well, only time will almost like with everything in wrestling. I'm sure once Rev Pro are confident they will run more live shows on there RPW on demand service. Hopefully, by Summer Sizzler or Uprising, they take the dive and host those shows live.
As for this show, Rev Pro again brought in two outsiders to headline the show as the King of Bros and then Progress Atlas champion Matt Riddle faced the best big man since Vader - Keith Lee. Also scheduled for this show was our favourite loveable loser Eddie Dennis facing Sami Callihan and #CCK (Chris Brookes and Travis Banks) put the belts on the line against contenders Josh Wall and Kurtis Chapman. So rather than me hype up the card anymore let's get right into the action. Singles Match: Angelico vs. Max Voltage Well, I was surprised to see Max Voltage back on the scene I haven't seen a former FWA Academy standout since 2005. Almost 12 years I assumed he had retired a long time ago but alas, like Luke Phoenix, he is back in BritWres obviously due to the recent boom. Next, it will be the UK Pitbulls who are back. Shame Max had lost his big red shiny gear (a staple of any indy wrestler back in 2005 who just wanted to be Amazing Red rip offs) and his big bushy hair. Anyway, it's good to see someone I haven't seen in so long. Max and Angelico early on did some solid work but then were interrupted by Zack Gibson. Gibson called Max and Angelico Will Ospreay. He added these two boys will never be as good as him and after some more talk by Gibson, this Match is made a 3 way. Winner: No Contest 3 Way Dance: Zack Gibson vs. Max Voltage vs. Angelico This was a decent enough opener. Everything was solid but nothing stood out as being special. It did, in all fairness, continue the strong push of Zack who continues to pick up wins and heat going forward. It was the smartest booking choice going forward as Zack has a hell of a lot of momentum heading into his Summer programme with Will Ospreay which will probably peak at this years Uprising show in the world famous York Hall. After 10 minutes or so of good action, Zack picked up the win with his Shankley Gates by locking it on Max who was forced to tap out. Winner: Zack Gibson RPW Undisputed British Cruiserweight Title Match: Josh Bodom (Champion) vs. David Starr The last time these two had a match was a bit critical of it for Josh's cheap heat antics in Florida during WrestleMania week. This time out both men seemed to click more due to Josh being more polished at getting heat and not going the cheap route to getting it. Early on, Starr dominated Josh taking the fight to the champion. Starr worked over Josh with chops in the corner and Josh sold them perfectly. Josh made a comeback with a double stomp and threw some nice stiff forearms. Josh began to target the knee and continued to work it over for the majority of the match. No cheap heat tactic here folks. Josh went the old route and targeted a body part to great effect and Starr sold it perfectly. Starr battled back with a Spanish Fly from the top rope for a near fall. Then a tilt-a-whirl slam for another near fall. Things were going along nicely as the two began to go home. Starr was unable to get Bodom up for a suplex and then Josh caught Starr in a half crab but Starr just reached the ropes. Bodom was really putting a beating on Starr and crowd really got behind the challenger, thanks to his expert selling of his bad knee. Starr then came close as you like with a big lariat to Bodom and they had the crowd in the palm of their hands. Starr went for a German but Josh battled out by kicking Starr in his knee. Starr charged Bodom who side stepped Starr and sent him to the over the top but Starr landed on the ring apron. Bodom then super kicked Starr in the knee as nailed Starr with a bliss buster for the three count. This was a very good match and another standout performance from Josh Bodom. Afterwards, the crowd gave Josh and Starr a standing ovation and both men really did deserve it. Winner: Josh Bodom (And Still RPW Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion) Tag Team Match: The London Riots (James Davis & Rob Lynch) vs. Dan Magee & RJ Singh This was a good enough match from an in ring point of view but in all honestly, I really didn't enjoy it. I think it's a good idea to have Magee (a contender) teaming with a BritWres legend in Singh. I'm sure Singh can take him under his wing and really help develop and teach the young man to become a better all round worker. After what seemed like a good 15 minutes the Riots gave Magee slingshot spear combo to finish off the young contender. Afterwards, a man wearing a black hoodie, hat and bandana jumped Singh and gave him a big boot and sprayed him with what looked like silly string. The crowd shouted RICKY (Rob Lias) but that was too obvious if I was to choose who this mystery attacker was, I would say it was James Castle. Winners: The London Riots (James Davis & Rob Lynch) Singles Match: Keith Lee vs. Matt Riddle This was a match I was most excited about going into this show. Yes, they've worked elsewhere but I was really hyped to see this match take place. Early on both men exchange hard hitting strikes then Riddle out of nowhere nails Lee with his big flying knee. You know the one that put down Trent Six...I mean Seven in six seconds at super strong style 16 but Lee is hardly rocked by the K.O. knee strike. Riddle nails Lee over and over again with running elbow smashes then Lee catches him, but Riddle fights free and chops the big mans chest. Lee no sells the chops and throws riddle all the way across the ring with an almighty German suplex. Lee follows it up with a beautiful looking hurricanrana. Lee works over Riddle in the corner with chops then tosses Riddle across the ring. Riddle tries to battle back but Lee cuts him off with a big clubbing blow and ten Lee stands on Riddle. Lee continues to work over Riddle with strikes then lifts him up into the air and as Riddle comes down Lee nearly KO's Riddle with a big forearm smash. Somehow Riddle battles back with a Pele kick ad then gives the big man a gut wrench suplex. Lee and riddle exchange big strikes and then riddle gives Lee the bro to sleep and a German suplex for a near fall. Riddle fires Lee with some sick kicks but Lee battles back with a massive forearm smash for another near fall. Riddle counters a DVD and gives Lee some hard knee strikes before dropping Lee with a fisherman's buster for another near fall. Lee comes back with a big elbow strike and a seated senton splash to Riddle for a two count. Riddle then does the same thing to Lee for a two count. Both men are battered and bruised now and are selling the beating perfectly. Lee then overpowers Matt with a side slam and a pounce (insert Monty Brown impression here) for a two count. Lee splashes Riddle over and over again in the corner but eventually, Riddle moves out the way and gives Lee a Spanish Fly into the corner. Again both men are down then they pull themselves up and exchange more stiff strikes. Riddle goes for a knee strike but Lee grabs Riddle and drops him with a pop-up powerbomb for the nearest of near falls. Lee hoists riddle up onto his shoulders but riddle rolls through and holds onto Lee for a three count. Another quality contest and an internet dream match that lived up to the hype. This was everything I like about pro wrestling. Stiff strikes, big bumps, insane power moves and near falls. This is certainly going on my BritWres MOTY list. Winner: Matt Riddle Singles Match: Sha Samuels vs. Rob Lias This match was built up rather good at the last Cockpit show and had some momentum going in. At long last, it's all good to cheer the East End Butcher and he's someone I always enjoy watching as long as it's not in a serious setting, of course. Anyway, this had the right finish and prolongs the feud between the two which ends hopefully with Sha losing clean to Lias. The crowd was red hot for this match again shouting RICKY at Lias as well as singing the only fools theme at Sha. The finish came quickly as RICKY I mean Rob grabbed Sha's braces and began to whip him with them. Referee Chris Roberts threatened to DQ Rob but then grabbed the braces. Then right in front of referee Chris Roberts, Sha low blowed Lias to force the DQ. Afterwards, Rob nailed Sha with a chair and beat down Sha to leave him laying. Rather than cut to the next match to show Lias dominance over the former RPW British Heavyweight champ and RPW British tag team champ, they decided to have Sha get up an nail Roberts with the chair and scream into the camera RICKY, you mug. Winner: Rob Lias Via DQ Singles Match: Sami Callihan vs. Eddie Dennis Our favourite lovable loser at BritWres Review was up next in his toughest challenge to date as he faced the current AAW Heavyweight champion, Sami Callihan. Eddie, who is on losing streak in RPW, is getting more and more over with a gimmick others may have had trouble pulling off. It really speaks to the man's talents that he's being able to pull it off and get more over with it. The match itself may have been Eddie's best to date in Rev Pro and was another stand out performance from the Pride of Wales. Sami and Dennis did lots of brawling on the outside early on along with lots of comedy which went down a treat with this hotter than hot crowd. Back in the ring, Eddie got a near fall with a perfect looking perfect plex. Sami followed it up with a face wash and a superkick to the back of the head for a near fall. Eddie missed a top rope elbow drop. Both men exchanged elbow smashes and big boots before Eddie nailed Sami with a big clothesline. Both men exchanged strikes on their knees then slugged it out on the feet. Sami then countered an MK Ultra into a code red and applied the stretch muffler, but Eddie somehow reached the ropes. Eddie came so close to his first win in RPW with an inverted DDT. Sami couldn't keep Eddie down with a number of kicks as Eddie fired up but a fifth big boot dropped Eddie and Sami applied the stretch muffler again, and this time Eddie was forced to tap out. Afterwards, Callihan reminded us he has unfinished business with Martin Stone the man who turned on him at the last York Hall show back in April and said he would get his revenge at summer sizzler on August 17th at the world famous York Hall. Another quality scrap and it only prolonging the eventual big win for Eddie. I seriously hope Eddie is booked on Uprising and he gets his first big win there. Winner: Sami Callihan Singles Match: Donovan Dijak Vs Dave Mastiff The last time these two met in Portsmouth, I wasn't a fan of the match they put on. In fact, I was a little disappointed they decided to go the route of a slow plodding 80's style match rather than give us the all out war I was expecting. Thankfully that was what we got here. As Dijak stormed to the ring and both men slugged it out before the bell even rang. Both men beat the crap out of one another similar to how Dijak did with Bodom back in May. Mastiff eventually settled in and targeted the elbow of Dijak working it over for the majority of the match (it's a Novel concept, a heel working a body part to get heat). It played into the story perfectly which probably wasn't better than the David Starr/Josh Bodom match from earlier, but still worked for this reviewer). Dijak sacrificed his finisher yet again in Rev Pro by letting Dave kick out of feast your eyes and also came close with a moonsault. A second moonsault attempt proved to be Dijak's downfall, in the end, landing on his elbow. Mastiff followed it up with a cannonball in the corner and covered Dijak for the 1,2, no as Dave pulled Dijak up with a certain three count. Dijak was out cold and Dave just toyed him until Dijak eventually pulled himself up onto his feet. Dave grabbed Dijak's arm and twisted his elbow but Dijak battled out but then Dave cut him off with a short elbow smash. Dave then gave Dijak a finlay roll and did three sentons in a row for a nearfall. Dave looked on in disbelief then emptied the contents of his nose onto Dijak. Dijak battled back and this time missed a sky twister press's falling directly on his elbow. Dave smelled blood and gave Dijak a maddie running cannonball in the corner to pick up the win. Afterwards Kieth Lee walked out and this reviewer marked out a little. Both men came face to face and it seems as both men will eventually meet at somepoint later on in the year in Rev pro. Finally these two delivered a great match After such a slow plodding brawl in Portsmouth this was the match I wanted to see these two in. Thankfully they paid off there feud with a war and going forward it only established mastiff more than he already is in Rev pro. Winner: Dave Mastiff RPW British Tag Team Title Match: #CCK (Chris Brooke's&Travis Banks) (Champions) Vs The Contenders (Josh Wall and Kurtis Chapman) It was main event time and how do you follow two hot matches well with #CCK obviously. Early on #CCK cut off the ring and exposed the contenders for the rookies they are. Brooke's and banks dominated poor old Chapman but he kept taking what #CCK were dishing out to him. It's a simple story and way of making a underdog babyface a character Sami Zayn plays so well become a star in one night. Not that im saying Chapman will ever be on sami zayns level but he was currently taken up a level here thanks to Brooke's and Banks. #CCK stretched and beat the hell out of Chapman like any old 50/60/70's established wrestler would to a rookie the only difference here was when Chapman made his comeback the established guys actually sold there asses off for the contenders. Chapman made the hot tag to wall a little early in my opinion as the crowd had just started to get behind him by chanting his name but oh well. Wall came in like a house on fire and fight spilled to the outside. Chapman even went up top and did a impressive looking shooting star ou onto banks, Brooke's and his partner wall. The contenders comeback sent the crowd a little quiet as i believe they really should have waited longer for the hot tag. Banks picked up the crowd by working over wall with a cannonball and a double foot stomp. Then wall ducked a travis tridal kick and travis accidently nailed referee Chris Roberts. Then suddenly the London riots showed up well Rob Lynch did and he speared both Brooke's and banks. Chapman crawled over to banks and pinned for the nearfall (the crowd and myself really bit on that nearfall). Chapman and wall worked over banks but he battled back with a Michinoku driver to wall. Chapman was on his own and the kid put up a good fight giving both banks and Brooke's a pair of cannonball splashes in the corner. #CCK eventually battled back with some sick double team moves but they still couldn't put away Chapman. This continued and continued but Chapman refused to stay down. Brooke's put on the octopus stretch the move that made Zack sabre jr tap out but Chapman refused to quit. So while Brooke's had the hold applied banks grabbed chapman's head and repeatably kicked him in the head over and over again. Brooke's released the hold and pinned Chapman for the one, two and three. Afterwards #CCK shook the contenders hands as the crowd have both teams a standing ovation. This match really exceeded my expectations. Going in I wasn't really up for it but they told a simple but effect story which really pulled this reviewer in. Yeah i had a grumble about a hot tag but I'm no worker so who am I to say i know better. It did wonders for the contenders team of Chapman and wall and going forwards I can only see big things for those two. Overall this was another solid #CCK outing but then it is the best boys after all and they always deliver right? Winners: #CCK (And Still RPW British Tag Team Champions) After a rather lacklustre cockpit 17 show Rev pro cockpit 18 show was back to its best. This show delivered from top to bottom even though jinny wasn't on it. There was probably only one dud and that was the riots match with RJ Singh and Dan Magee. As for the rest of the card it was bloody tremendous. It hoisted at least one match that will make my short list for BritWres MOTY in Kieth Lee Vs Matt Riddle and hell you could even argue that the main event, starr v Bodom, mastiff v Dijak and dennis v Callihan could make the list as well. Yep I was really high on this show and would highly recommend you go and check it out on RPW on demand through pivot share. Yet again I would like to tank you the dear reader for taking the time out of your day for reading this review and finish as always with see you at the matches. @Billy_Jay83

This show came a day after the most recent terror attacks in London. Andy Quildan said before the show the recent attack wouldn't prevent him from putting on a show in memory of all those people affected by attacks last night. A classy move by one of the better promoters in this country.
The show didn't have the biggest feel going in anyway and the main event kind felt like it was put together rather than it being built naturally as #CCK faced Zack Sabre Jr., the RPW British Heavyweight Champion, and Davey Boy Smith Jr. Also slated was Josh Bodom defending his RPW Undisputed Cruiserweight Title against newcomer and APEX regular Ashley Dunn, plus a whole lot more. The opening part of the show featured RPW promoter and Booker Andy Quildan cutting his classy promo and then it was right into the action. Singles Match David Starr Vs El Phantasmo I must admit wasn't familiar with El Phantasmo at all when I saw his name. I was expecting a luchador but what I got was something completely different. El Phantasmo is from Canada and like Travis Banks and Kyle Fletcher, he's moved here to continue to grow his career and pick up some much-needed experience. The fact he was in there with David Starr shows Quildan must be high on the Angelico look alike but maybe not his entrance music which Quildan pointed out himself was a bit colourful. The two had a good enough match that was a little sloppy in places and the crowd was rather subdued early on. They tried to muster up the enthusiasm but it just wasn't there. I wasn't overly impressed by El Phantasmo he looked good in places during the match but what would he be like in there with a lesser performer? Only time will tell. El Phantasmo did an impressive dropkick from the top where he jumped from one side of the ring to the other to connect to a downed Starr. El Phantasmo missed a moonsualt and that was his downfall as Starr nailed him with a homage driver to his knee and a straight jacket German suplex to pick up the win. Winner: David Starr Tag Team Match The London Riots (James Davis and Rob Lynch) vs Josh Wall and Kurtis Chapman Last time out The Riots murdered the poor, young contenders in a one-sided squash match. I was expecting a less one-sided match here with the contenders coming close but not quite beating the rugged team of James Davis and Rob Lynch who would beat the contenders. That's not quite what I got though in the end. Early on The Riots dismantled the contenders all over the building to no or very little reaction. There was a sloppy counter when Chapman tried to hurricanrana out of a powerbomb. He redeemed himself with a fancy flip to the outside. The Riots came back by back dropping Wall on the floor while Lynch gave Chapman a sit-down powerbomb back in the ring. The Riots isolated Chapman and began to work him over building to the hot tag nicely. Wall came in and immediately ate a big boot by Lynch but battled back with a code red and a double stomp. The contenders came close when Wall held onto Davis and Chapman hit him with another double stomp for a near fall. Lynch and Davis nailed the contenders with a pair of brutal clotheslines then followed it up with a pair of powerbombs. The Riots avoided going for the pin and were just toying with the Contenders which would lead to their downfall as #CCK came out and distracted the Riots and referee Chris Roberts. Brookes stole the cricket bat and while everyone was distracted, Banks sneaked in and nailed Davis with a belt shot to the head. Meanwhile, Chapman went up top and came off with a big splash to Davis for the one, two and three. At least it keeps the ongoing feud between the Riots and #CCK going along I guess. Winners: Kurtis Chapman and Josh Wall RPW Undisputed British Cruiserweight Title Match Josh Bodom (Champion) Vs Ashely Dunn This match was built up on the last show and I was genuinely looking forward to it. I see big things for Dunn in Rev Pro and here he was going up against one of the most hated men in BritWres today. Early on Bodom sold Dunn's offence well which in turn made Dunn look like a threat. Then out of nowhere Bodom nailed Dunn with a bliss buster and it seemed as if it was over but yet again someone kicked out of it. That was a bit unbelievable and didn't mean as much as Bubblegum and Dijak have previously kicked out of the move. Bodom took control of the bout working over Dunn with a number of kicks. Bodom dived out onto Dunn and then nailed him with a big boot in the corner. Bodom tried to follow it up with a Bodom buster but Dunn slipped out of the move. Dunn came back with a big dropkick and roll up for a two count. Bodom dropped Dunn with an enziguri for a two count then threw Dunn Into the ring post and Bodom covered him cockily for the three. Another good match from Bodom and he really needed to be booked like that after his last two matches. Dunn looked really good here but a clear message was sent he isn't even on Bodom's level. Which is very true especially in Rev Pro anyway. Hopefully, Quildan has a rematch scheduled between the two at some point as I genuinely enjoyed that. Winner: Josh Bodom (And Still RPW Undisputed British Cruiserweight Champion) Singles Match Eddie Dennis Vs Donovan Dijak Another thing I've enjoyed on the cockpit shows as of late is Eddie Dennis's losing streak angle. The guy is still insanely over in the cockpit and he's really making it work while others would not necessarily be able to make it work. Early both men took it to one another brawling all over the cockpit. Quildan mentioned on commentary how Eddie likes to have to much fun and that is his downfall and almost on cue, Eddie begins to mess around again. Dijak came close with a tilt-a-whirl slam while Dennis came close with a DDT and a big leg drop. The crowd came alive for the closing stages as Dennis got a near fall with a tilt-a-whirl side slam. Dijak countered a Razors edge and super kicked Dennis but it leads to nothing. Dijak gave Dennis a chokeslam to his knee and followed it up with moon sault for a near fall. Dijak killed his finish yet again but letting Dennis kick out of the feast your eyes but the crowd really did bite for that near fall. Both men traded forearms then Dijak gave Dennis a chokeslam onto the ring apron. Eddie no sold it and did a flip dive out onto Dijak. Dijak then no sold the dive and flipped out onto Dennis. Eddie gave Dijak a big chokeslam from the top rope and both men were down and finally selling. After some more back and fourth Dijak finally hit the Feast Your Eyes for a second time to pick up the win. Another good match which did at least pick the crowd up temporarily. I'm enjoying this story with Eddie but the finish was a bit telegraphed because of it. I would argue they probably did too much which made it a bit unbelievable in places. Winner: Donovan Dijak After intermission, Andy Quildan got in the ring but was interrupted by RICKY I mean Rob Lias. Lias explained he was here because his music Played. He then explained his name was not RICKY it was Rob ad eventually got to his point. By saying he was sick and tired of being MUGGED off. He didn't even have a match tonight. He asked for things to start changing and asked for his terrible music to be changed. Quildan said if it was good enough for him then it was good enough for Rob. Rob then tripped over his lines and the crowd made fun of him. Rob said he was putting everyone on notice here in Rev Pro including Sha Samuels and ended up calling Sha an "East End slag". Singles Match Zack Gibson Vs Angelico Zack cut his usual promo at the beginning and then turned his attention to Will Ospreay saying he was to watch this match and see what he could do to guys like him. He then turned his attentions to Angelico and Lucha Underground and finished up by saying he was going to make Angelico tap to the Shankley Gates. Early on Zack worked over Angelico's arm and the two traded some nice holds on the mat. During these early stages, Andy Boy Simmons and Andy Quildan had some fun exchanges about World of Sport and all I'm going to say is Andy obviously wasn't a fan. Gibson spent the first few minutes working over Angelico's arm softening him up for the Shankley Gates. It was smart psychology wise and made a lot of sense. Gibson continued to work over the arm and really silenced the crowd like a true pro so when Angelico made his comeback the crowd was super hot for it. The thing was Gibson and Angelico decided to cut the crowd off at each turn by having Gibson cut Angelico off during every comeback. Gibson continued to let Angelico come back at him and cut him off each and every time and then went back to the arm. Angelico eventually came back with a hot comeback nailing Gibson with a big knee smash and then both men traded forearms. Angelico nailed Gibson with a big roundhouse kick for a two count and then went for something and then Gibson took him down and tried to apply the Shankley Gates which Angelico battled out of. Angelico rolled up Gibson out of nowhere for a two count before blocking a code breaker by holding onto the top rope. Angelico followed it up with a double foot stomp for a near fall. Gibson caught Angelico with a vicious right hand to the point of his elbow and nailed Angelico with the code breaker for a near fall. Angelico came back with a cradle roll-up for a two count then Angelico dropped Gibson with a dropkick for a near fall. Angelico went for the Mount Splashmore, which Gibson countered and dropped Angelico with a twisting brainbuster. Zack then locked in the Shankley Gates and Angelico was forced to tap out. Zack Gibson's strong push continues as he beat Angelico clean here but something was off as both just didn't click in my opinion. It was a shame because wanted these two work a great match here but it was kind of lacking and I think it was due to the two not clicking well. Winner: Zack Gibson Woman's Match Jinny Vs Nina Samuels Onto another match featuring a talent being strongly pushed by Rev Pro in Jinny. Here and Nina from pro wrestling Eve was a decent effort by both ladies who busted their ass to get a strong reaction out of this crowd. Unfortunately like everyone else they had a hard time getting a strong reaction out of this crowd. Jinny came close late on with a big roundhouse kick then Jinny viciously stomped on Nina over and over again. Nina was just fodder here for Jinny who is getting a push so anything she did, didn't really resonate with this reviewer or the crowd of I'm honest. Samuels near falls didn't really elect much of a response which was a shame as she did work hard here. Jinny countered a Razors edge by pulling Samuels' hair and nailed her with a rainmaker for a near fall. Samuels got a decent pop for one near fall with a sit-down powerbomb but it meant nothing as Jinny dropped Nina with a sit down powerbomb of her own to pick up the win. Winner: Jinny Main Event Non-Title Match Zack Sabre Jr and Davey Boy Smith Jr Vs #CCK (Travis Banks&Chris Brookes) Banks and Sabre start out with some nice chain wrestling which neither man was able to come out on top of. Brookes and Davey Boy are tagged in and Davey applies an arm bar. Brookes battles out and takes down Davey with a top wrist lock. Davey counters and applies a hammerlock but Brookes counters that and takes Davey down with the hammerlock. Davey comes back with a big scoop slam then tags Zack but Brookes forces Zack into his corner. Zack and Travis trade forearms and elbow smashes which fired up this crowd. #CCK work over Sabre with some sick double team moves. #CCK go back and fourth with Zack while making quick tags. Zack fires up and elbow smashes Brookes while Banks is cut off by Davey and the two spill to the outside. Davey tags in and works over Brookes' leg and now the Suzuki Gun teammates work over Brookes with quick tags. Zack targets Brookes' legs and applies a variety of leg bars on Brookes who counters with a rake to the eyes. Zack then tags in an unmotivated Davey who works over Brookes. Davey seems to be uninterested and barely gives a fuck as he applies a leg bar. Davey goes for a crossface but Brookes reaches the ropes. More quick tags and Zack comes in and puts on a show continuing to work over the leg. Brookes finds himself in the wrong comer but battles back with a big knee smash. Brookes finally makes the hot tag and Banks unleashes a sick barrage of strikes to Davey and Zack. Cannonball Splash by Travis to both Davey and Zack. Double superkick by #CCK and they get a near fall on Davey. Davey battles back with a hip toss and an arm bar to Travis. Meanwhile, Zack Catches Brookes in an octopus stretch. Travis battles back with a flying clothesline to both Davey and Zack. Davey rolls to the outside and then back in the ring Brookes enters and takes out Sabre with a DVD. Brookes hoists banks onto his shoulders and tosses him off into Zack and Banks nails Sabre with a code breaker. Banks covers Sabre for a two count as Davey just breaks it up. Davey tosses banks out of the ring and the two battle to the back. Zack and Chris are all alone now. Brookes drops Zack with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Zack battles back with a penalty kick for a near fall. Both men are exhausted and the crowd begins to come to life. Zack slaps Brookes over and over in the face. Brookes battles back but then gets caught with a dragon suplex for a near fall. Zack misses a penalty kick and then Brookes nails him with a big knee. Brookes goes for another Michinoku driver but Zack counters into a guillotine choke but Brookes counters and now has Zack in the octopus stretch and Zack is forced to say I quit. Afterwards, Brookes takes the RPW British Heavyweight title and celebrates with the crowd as Zack is furious in the ring kicking the bottom rope and shouting abuse at the referee and fans. I would have been ranting and raving about how great this match was if it wasn't for Davey he seemed unmotivated and disinterested during this whole match. That shouldn't be the story of the match though as it was all about Chris Brookes (yes not Travis banks) who made the RPW British Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr say I quit. That was one hell of a moment and one I'll never forget everyone seems to be pushing Travis at the moment and for good reason, so it was refreshing to see a promotion take a gamble on someone else and put another premier British wrestler in a spot Rev Pro could have easily filled with Travis banks. Less than 24 hours later Rev Pro announced Brookes would face Zack at their next big York Hall show summer sizzler on August 17th and I'll be in attendance for that and cannot wait. Winners: #CCK (Chris Brookes & Travis Banks) Overall this show felt like it was lacking something. The cockpit shows have been so good this year that my expectations for them have gone up. Last year this show wouldn't have looked out of place as a cockpit show but this show it was by far the weakest this year. The crowd being so subdued didn't help but they can be forgiven after what happened 24 hours earlier in London. The main event was ok but it was obvious at times Davey Boy Smith Jr was just phoning it in. I liked the finish as it set up a fresh and new challenger for RPW British Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. Ashley Dunn continued to impress as did Josh Bodom in their match. The riots match with Chapman and Wall raised an eyebrow of this reviewer but not in a good way. The Jinny, Eddie Dennis and Zack Gibson focus is still there and is only a plus going forward. So there were some positive things happening even if there was more negative. Again thanks for reading my review and if this has inspired you to check out RPW then why not buy a ticket to their Summer Sizzler show on August 17th. Hell Rey Mysterio Jr. is on the show so why not. If not then head on over to pivot share and subscribe to RPW on demand. As always I'll say thanks for reading and I'll finish with my Bill Apter ripped off line with I'll see you at the matches. Rev Pro was back for its family friendly Portsmouth on the 28th of May featuring a card that didn't exactly get this reviewer excited. The last Portsmouth show in February was a pleasant surprise to this reviewer featuring a number of good matches including Pete Dunne Vs Penta El Zero M, Trent Seven Vs Dave Mastiff and Marty Scurll Vs Ryan Smile. Again my expectations were low after seeing the card for this show but there were three matches that stood out that could potentially deliver from an in ring point of view. So rather than I go on about it lets get to the action.
RPW Undisputed British Cruiserweight Title Match Josh Bodom (Champion) Vs Bubblegum As its a return to Portsmouth, the audio is shocking yet again. It may have been turned up slightly but there was still clear distortion when Andy Quildan was announcing over a wrestler's entrance music. Anyway into the match. Early on Bubblegum did the happy smiley babyface thing of tagging kids hands on the way to the ring. Bodom meanwhile got ugly by posing in front of kids and kicking the guardrail. Bodom worked over Bubblegum almost immediately but Bubblegum fired back up with an arm drag and a springboard hurricanrana. Bodom went and shouted abuse at some kids then add jumped back onto the apron to walk into a big by Bubblegum. Back in the ring Bodom took advantage with a superkick and stomped away at Bubblegum. Josh got a two count and Bodom began to work over Bubblegum in the corner with chops. Bodom continued to pose as Bubblegum rolled to the outside. They brawled on the outside for a bit then went back to the ring where Bubblegum nailed Bodom with a handspring enziguri. Bodom came back with a clothesline and Bodom again went to work over Bubblegum. Both exchanged strikes in the corner then Bubblegum nailed Bodom with a number of combination strikes and rolled up Bodom for a near fall. Bubblegum fired up the crowd but got cut off with an enziguri by Bodom for a near fall. Bubblegum countered a Bodom buster and gives Bodom a double stomp. Another enziguri from Bubblegum and Bodom fell into the ropes. Bubblegum signalled for a 619 but Bodom moved out of the way. Bodom nailed Bubblegum with yet another enziguri and a bliss buster for the one, two and no as Bubblegum just kicked out. Bodom was irate and grabbed a chair and his title belt but the referee was having none of it and took away the chair. Bodom threw the belt into Bubblegum who caught it but Josh followed up with a bicycle kick which sent the belt into Bubblegum's face. For some reason, Josh followed up with a hesitation dropkick then covered Bubblegum for the three count. Decent opener which went over 14 minutes but it really wasn't anything special. Bodom was made to look strong with his domination of Bubblegum but I have to say I was a little disappointed they didn't protect the Bliss Buster a little better. That move was well protected most of this year but now is becoming just another move after Dijak and Bubblegum have now both kicked out of the move. Winner: Josh Bodom (still RPW Undisputed British Cruiserweight Champion) Singles Match Gideon Gray Vs Timo The character development of Gideon Gray continues as he lost to a guy I have no clue who he is. When a guy has no cagematch profile, it's a little hard to find out who a guy is. I would assume he's a guy who impressed during the tryouts at RPW Portsmouth wrestling school. Timo currently looks like a wrestler and could do the basics well but that was about it. His still as green as dishwater but Gideon carried him to a watchable contest. There were a few questionable spots. The one that stands out is when Gideon pretended to throw something into Timo's eye and Timo sold it as if he had salt thrown in his eyes. I'm not sure what Grey or Timo were thinking but it looked silly and the crowd didn't even seem to buy it. It began to drag towards the 10-minute mark. I was just begging them to go home by that point and thankfully minutes later Timo drilled Gideon with a big Jackknife Powerbomb for the three count. There isn't really a lot more I can add rather than this match was far too long and the story it wanted to tell. Winner: Timo Singles Match Luke 'Dragon' Phoenix Vs Speedball Mike Bailey I've been a bit critical of Luke since he popped back up in Rev Pro but was genuinely excited to see him tangle with a guy of Speedball's calibre as both are very evenly matched stylistically. I believed going in as much as I do now that Phoenix has a place in RPW but not just in the main event matches with guys like Marty Scurll going 50/50 but on these shows, in Portsmouth he has a spot and belongs and will eventually have earned his spot back on the cockpit and York Hall shows. Rant over let's get into the match, shall we? Early on both men go back and forth exchanging kicks and punches. Phoenix nailed Bailey with a number of German's and a Boston Crab's while Bailey countered with a Sliced Bread Number Two and a combination of strikes. Both guys were busting their asses but it was a shame the crowd really didn't seem to be into it or maybe that was due to the poor audio. Both men missed their flippy moves as Bailey missed his shooting star knee smash and Luke missed a frog splash. Bailey did a big dive to the outside and back in the ring, Bailey got a near fall with a standing twisting corkscrew moonsualt. Phoenix worked over Bailey's knee with a dragon screw leg whip and then a DDT. Phoenix followed up with a frog splash to the knees of Bailey. Phoenix was in in place to cover Bailey and Bailey got up and nailed Phoenix with an enziguri and a standing shooting star knee smash to pick up the win. This was by far my favourite match of the night both men stepped it up and gear and went out there and delivered a match well worth checking out. I might have to stop being so critical of Phoenix and say Andy book more matches like this involving Phoenix just don't do with main eventers please and have the matches booked so evenly on his re-debut in the company, please. Winner: Speedball Mike Bailey Singles Match Dave Mastiff Vs Donovan Dijak Another match I was really looking forward too and if this maybe wasn't on the card I would have skipped this show. Early on both men did lots of stalling as the crowd really seemed to get into it shouting abuse at Mastiff. After what seemed like forever both men lock up and Mastiff fires a shot low at Dijak and applies a headlock. Both men step it up an extra gear as Dijak nails Mastiff to the outside with a big shoulder tackle. Both men go back and forth then Dijak gives Mastiff another shoulder tackle this time sending Dave to the outside. Dave stalls again shouting abuse back at the crowd but it is working in front of this crowd who give it back to the big lad from the Black Country. Dijak grabs Dave but Dave cuts him off with a big right hand. Dave works over Dijak with clubbing blows to the back of Dijak's head and neck. Mastiff works over Dijak in the corner with more clubbing blows and the crowd is all over Mastiff. Dave twists Dijak neck into positions the neck and head are not meant to turn. Mastiff applies a chin lock but Dijak battles back and gets out of the hold. Dave downs his foe with a big kick and punch to the side of the head and begins to just play with Dijak who's on the mat selling Mastiff strikes. Dave continues to work over Dijak neck and head then whips his hand onto his sweaty sack and puts his hand into Dijak face. That was sickening. Dijak battles back with some punches and a dropkick. Dijak goes for a back elbow but Dave cuts him off with a headbutt. Dijak comes back by hoisting Dave up onto his shoulders but Dave counters by raking the eyes for a near fall. Dave chokes Dijak on the top rope and goes to work on the back with forearm smashes. Dave whips Dijak into the corner and sends Dijak to the outside. The referee begins to Count and Dijak just gets back in the ring at the count of nine. More stalling and working of the crowd by Dave as Dijak continues to sell. Both men end up on the top rope and then Dijak goes for a sunset flip powerbomb but Dave goes back to raking the eyes. Dijak and Dave exchange forearms in the corner then a superkick. Dijak calls for feast your eyes but again Dijak can't get the big man up so nails Dave with another superkick. Dave battles back with a seated senton for a near fall. Dave drills Dijak with a powerbomb for a near fall. The crowd and this reviewer are beginning to lose interest now. But then Dijak finally makes a big comeback with a spinning big boot and a Moonsault for the one, two and three. Afterwards, an irate Dave attacked Dijak and left him laying which Andy Boy Simmons on commentary seemed very pleased about. This was a simple match which followed a simple formula. It wouldn't have looked out of place in the 80s WWF. As two big men lumbered around the ring not doing much at all apart from working the crowd who eventually gave up on this match much like this reviewer. This was Dave's first loss in RPW since he returned in November last year. Shame it wasn't built up more or happened on a bigger show because that first loss would have meant so much more. Winner: Donovan Dijak Tag Team Match Josh Wall and Kurtis Chapman Vs Scarlet & Graves (Desmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) Scarlet and Graves were playing heels here and it was a smart move as they were treated as heels as soon they came out to their black metal theme. Of course the contenders Chapman and wall got a positive response and were attacked almost immediately by the former CZW Tag Team Champions. Overall this match was another easy watch but nothing really of importance happened. It was just like any other house show match you've seen. Wentz and Xavier seemed to take it easy as well and weren't out there busting their asses in front of this crowd. Beanpole Chapman was double teamed and Xavier and Wentz signalled him out and to get the heat on themselves which is always a smart move. When Chapman made the hot tag the crowd popped. Chapman nailed Xavier with a lung blower for a near fall. Chapman came back in and get dropped with a swinging DDT for a near fall and wall just broke up the pin at two. Both teams exchanged holds in the ring then Chapman sent Xavier into wall who nailed Xavier with a big kick and Chapman rolled up Xavier for the one, two and three. This was another nothing match as I said above Xavier and Wentz took it easy but still handed the contenders a big win. Winners: Josh Wall & Kurtis Chapman MAIN EVENT Davey Boy Smith Jr Vs Rishi Ghosh I suppose you're wondering why this was chosen as the main event as Rishi is a guy who's nowhere near the main event scene? Well, dear reader, this was possibly the best match to main event this show in front of this crowd. Rishi is super over with the kids who really hate him and Harry is a former WWE superstar so this crowd was bound to get behind the now Davey Boy Smith Jr. This wasn't a very good match it was passable at best. They like the previous two bouts took it easy in front of this crowd doing the bare minimum but being able to get a good reaction out of this crowd. In my honest opinion I wasn't sold on this outing it went too long but then a lot of the matches on this card did. It ended thankfully at the 20 plus minute mark when Davey Boy Smith Jr gave Rishi his father's running Powerslam predictably to pick up the win. Winner: Davey Smith Jr Overall this show was not intended for me but as I had to review it I'm going to give my honest opinion. It sucked! Yep, I hated this show with a passion! Bodom v Bubblegum was a solid house show match but was kind of underwhelming, Dijak and Mastiff went too long and lost me and the crowd before its climax. The tag match was nothing specials when it could have been, the main event was probably more suited to be taking place in Butlins but there was that really good Luke Phoenix vs Speedball match. Honestly, avoid this show it really wasn't very good. Well, that's all folks. Thanks again for reading my review and I'll end as I always do by saying I'll see you at the matches. Rev Pro returned to the Cockpit Theatre in London for the 16th instalment of its incredibly well-produced cockpit shows on May 7th. This time out Andy Quildan booked an internet dream match as Kyle O'Reilly took on RPW triple crown champion 'The Villain' Marty Scurll. Also booked for the show was Donovan Dijak who would face his old rival Josh Bodom in another instalment of their feud.
Six Man Contenders Tag Ashley Dunn, Josh Wall and Kurtis Chapman Vs Ash Draven, Cara Noir and Malik To open the show Quildan decided to hand it to contender regulars Chapman and Wall along with four newcomers Cara Noir (the current XWA British Heavyweight Champ), Ashely Dunn (someone who has impressed me with his work in APEX a promotion based out of Milton Keynes), Ash Draven and Malik. This was a good showcase for these guys to go all out and impress Quildan with a top notch performance. All six men busted their asses and the crowd eventually warmed up to the action in the ring. Hopefully, this leads to more appearances for Dunn and noir going forward as I think both deserve to be working for one of Britain's biggest promotions. After lots of back and fourth and some solid action between all six Ashely Dunn nailed Draven with his impressive looking double underhook Canadian destroyer to pick up the win. Winners: Ashley Dunn, Josh Wall and Kurtis Chapman Singles Match All Day Star Ryan Smile Vs Zack Gibson Gibson's strong push continues in Rev Pro with another big this time over someone Quildan had been pushing strong since he showed up in Rev Pro last year in the all day star. Gibson cut a promo beforehand as per usual proclaiming himself the soon to be world's number one and also continuing to call out Will Ospreay by telling Will's mate Ryan to get on What's App and tell him to not get involved in his business. Will had done just that when Hiroki Goto faced Gibson at Epic Encounter and Will stopped Gibson using his car stereo on Goto. This reviewer hopes it leads to a match between the two at Summer Sizzler, Rev Pro's next big show at York Hall on August 17th. The two had a solid match which was more booked like a strong TV style main event than an indy show match. Both saved their big spots for the finish and both men must be applauded for going out there and sticking to the script and building their match up to the ultimate pay off. Smile really did his job well of giving the rub to Gibson and made him look like a million bucks while doing it. Towards the end, Gibson kicked out of Smile's tilt-a-whirl DDT and a Blue Thunder Bomb. Smiles shooting star press was protected as Smile couldn't make the cover quick enough. Gibson came close with a clothesline and the code breaker powerbomb combo but only got a near fall. Gibson worked over smiles arm all match to soften him up for the Shankley Gates but most of the match smile fought out of the hold. Smile went up top but Gibson "accidentally" fell into referee Chris Roberts and Roberts fell into the rope which for smile crotched on the top rope but that spot only lead to Smile missing a frog splash. Then finally Gibson locked in the Shankley Gates and Smile was forced to tap out. Winner: Zack Gibson Women's Match Jinny Vs Alex Windsor The Primark Princess was back and her push continues and I couldn't be happier as I hope this all leads to her raising the Rev Pro Women's title at Uprising. She kind of got screwed at SSS16 night two when Progress decided to pick Toni Storm over Jinny to raise their first woman's strap and I hope this time Rev Pro get it right. Don't get me wrong I really like Toni and couldn't be happier but it just seems if her eventual win is being held off in progress at least but her I think it's being set up nicely for Jinny. I can't say I'm that fond of Alex Windsor I've not seen her very much, to be honest, but when I have seen her I haven't been sold on her as a face but it's different when she's a heel. As let's face it Alex is a lot more unlikable than likeable. Alex's babyface comeback just wasn't believable to this reviewer and as much as Andy Quildan tried to sell Windsor's near falls on commentary this reviewer had a hard time suspending his belief. After Jinny battled out of a Boston crab by Windsor she nailed Windsor with a big wheel kick that Eric Bischoff would have been proud off to pick up the win. Winner: Jinny Non-Title Singles Match Josh Bodom Vs Donovan Dijak These two had a very good feud this time last year that resulted in two insane battles. One match in Reading at last year's Epic Encounter I was in attendance for and the second had a great spot in the Cockpit where Josh Bodom's mother was trying to pull Dijak off of her son. So I had high expectations for this one and my God did this deliver. It was a hot start with Dijak doing a Fosbury Flip out onto Bodom which cut Dijak wide open. Back in the ring Dijak nailed Bodom with feast your eyes for the nearest of near falls (props go to Bodom for leaving it as late as he did to kick out of that). Both men then brawled all over the Cockpit like in previous outings and this reviewer really appreciates as I did enjoy a good call back spot to a previous battle. Dijak nailed Bodom with second Feast Your Eyes and again Bodom kicked out. Bodom then nailed Dijak with the Bliss Buster to the outside (wow) and both men were dead. Both men didn't play dead for long enough in my opinion as Dijak rolled into the ring first at six (come on dude). Both men slugged it out and Dijak laughed off Bodom's strikes and flipped him the bird. Then both men countered a Feast Your Eyes attempt from the other but then Bodom nailed him with a Bliss Buster but Dijak kicked out. Bodom grabbed his undisputed British Cruiserweight title but Ashley Dunn came out and grabbed the belt from Bodom. Josh was irate as Dijak charged Bodom and nailed him with a running knee and a feast your eyes to pick up the win. Winner: Donovan Dijak Afterwards, an irate Bodom got into Ashley Dunn's face and grabbed his title and left. So yeah I've finally been won over by Bodom and now am genuinely enjoying his matches but I'm still worried he's going to fuck up again but for now, I'm all in on Josh Bodom and I'm genuinely overjoyed he may be moving into a program with APEX regular Ashely Dunn. RPW British Tag Team Title Match #CCK (Travis Banks & Chris Brookes) (Champions) Vs The London Riots (James Davis & RobLynch) Ever since winning the belts, Banks and Brookes have been one of the most reliable duos in RPW when it comes to great matches. Another dependable and well-pushed team are the Riots. I'm a bit surprised they did this match so soon but I get it when the direction they are going in with the Riots and #CCK. Early on the Riots overpowered banks and Brookes with the sick power moves. Then the match stepped up a gear as it suffered from the legal man syndrome when all four men went back and forth. I'll have to admit that this match was strange as #CCK seemed to be booked as babyfaces even though they've been heels since coming into Rev Pro. The same could be said for the Riots who have been babyfaces but were booked as heels until the closing stages when the Riots introduced a cricket bat into the match but Brookes nicked it and nailed Rob Lynch with the bat shot. Back in the ring, James Davis battled it out with both members of #CCK and now suddenly the Riots were the babyfaces again. I'm not sure what they were going for but this reviewer was confused but the crowd ate it up. James Davis tried to battle it out with both members but the numbers game just caught up to him and Banks nailed Davis with a jumping Codebreaker then Brookes nailed Davis with a senton splash from the second rope to pick up the win. Winners: #CCK (Travis Banks & Chris Brookes) Afterwards, #CCK showed respect to the Riots and offered to shake their hands but the Riots were having none of it and headbutted both Banks and Brookes. Both teams then battled on the outside and to the back. I have to add that I hope this is the first chapter in a long rivalry between the two but then knowing how things are going forward it's a shame this match was blown off so early when it could have been pushed for a big match at Uprising. He's hoping that does eventually happen though! Singles Match Lord Gideon Grey Vs Eddie Dennis Eddie Dennis losing streak continues but where some losing streaks don't always work this one actually seems to be working. I said back in April I was a bit disappointed this was the direction they were going in with Eddie but now it's starting to win me over and wouldn't be surprised if Dennis ends up more over once the big payoff of a win for Eddie eventually happens. Meanwhile, Gideon's character transformation continues to be going along nicely and it's another piece of strong booking from Andy Quildan who seems to be having a hell of a year booking Rev Pro. Anyway, I'm getting off topic. This was actually a typical comedy match that may have taken itself too seriously at times. After some solid action between the two that probably went far too long at times the finish saw Gray nail Eddie with the '50 Shades of Gray' to pick up the win. Winner: Lord Gideon Gray Tag Team Match Sha Samuels and Rob Lias Vs RJ Singh and Dan Magee So it would seem Sha Samuels has found himself a new partner in Rob Lias. Someone I'm personally very high on as he was my pick for breakout BritWres star of the mid-year awards. There was a comical moment when Sha grabbed a microphone saying he had found himself a new partner who he called "Ricky" which didn't seem to sit well with Rob. Sha continued being elated with his partner who he said did a great job of carrying his bags and making him a cup of tea. An over excited Sha kept trying to cuddle Rob but Rob was having none of it. RJ Singh was teaming with a man who Rob is very familiar with in Dan Magee and this was a big moment for the two contenders who are really stepping up to the challenge. Rob started out and he had a good back and forth with Singh while the fans shouted Ricky like Bianca from EastEnders at poor old Rob. Eventually, Magee and Lias faced off again and the two contenders had an interesting and solid exchange. Sha worked over Magee with a snap suplex, then he and Lias worked over Magee in the corner. Some fans chanted Ricky Dyer at Lias whose facial expression was priceless. The hot tag from Magee to RJ actually meant something due to the perfect selling from Magee and cheap tricks employed by Sha and Lias. RJ was quicker than he has ever been and the little dragon was all over Lias like a house on fire but he turned his back and Sha blind tagged Lias and Sha wiped him out with a clothesline. Lias gave RJ a Michinoku driver then Sha and Lias run into one another and RJ nailed Sha with a Swanton Bomb to pick up the win for his team. This was an enjoyable match but really nothing special it was a good warm-up match before the main event, not a lot else can be said. Winners: RJ Singh and Dan Magee Afterwards, Lias got in Sha's face similar to how Sha used to do with James Castle, his former partner. An irate Sha slapped Lias and the two came to blows. Sha left Lias lying with a spine buster. So now I would accurately assume Sha is going face which is long overdue in this reviewers opinion. MAIN EVENT Kyle O'Reilly Vs 'The Villain' Marty Scurll Both men start out with some solid chain wrestling and exchange holds on the mat. Marty begins to get all animated in a lock up and Kyle plays along with it. Marty takes down Kyle with an arm drag and holds onto a top wrist lock. Kyle counters and takes down Marty and goes for a hold but Marty counters and both men come face to face as the crowd claps appreciating the clinic these two are putting on. Kyle applies a headlock but Marty battles out but Kyle gives him a shoulder tackle. Marty does his chicken pose but Kyle just looks on puzzled. Marty goes for a sunset flip but Kyle doesn't go down and breaks out his sleazy Kyle wiggle. Kyle applies an arm bar but Marty quickly gets out of the hold. Kyle begins to work over Marty's knee then begins to work him over with forearm smashes. Marty battles back with a poke to the eye but Kyle comes back with a dropkick to the knee. Both battle it out trying to nail the other with a suplex. Marty tosses Kyle to the outside and nails him with a superkick. Marty works over Kyle's arm by ramming it into the ring post. Back in the ring, Kyle kicks Marty in the leg over and over again. Marty then fires up by swinging his arm round and round but Kyle just falls to the mat before Marty can punch him. Marty chops away at Kyle and then goes back to the arm. Marty does a wiggle roll and the fans chant "sleazy Marty". Marty continues to work over the arm of Kyle with a number of armbar variations. Again both men trade strikes in the middle of the ring and Kyle wins out with a big knee strike to Marty. Kyle drills Marty with a backdrop sit down powerbomb and Kyle goes back to the armbar. Kyle stalks Marty and goes back to the arm again but Marty gets out of the hold. Kyle hits the ropes and runs into the Superkick just kidding spot by the villain. Kyle unleashes a sick combination of strikes but Marty grabs kyles fingers and begins to stomp on Kyle's hand but Kyle fires up. The two trade kicks and then Kyle gets a near fall on Marty with a brain buster. Marty comes back with another superkick and teases the chicken wing but Kyle counters the hold and reverses it into an ankle lock. Both men run at one another with clotheslines and both men go down. Both men are up and trade blows with one another again then Kyle takes down Marty and applies the ankle lock yet again but again Marty battles out. Marty goes to break the fingers of Kyle but he counters with knee strikes to Marty. This stuns Marty who stumbles around and walks into a dragon sleeper by Kyle but Marty drives Kyle into the corner to break the hold. Marty goes to break the fingers again but Kyle counters this time with a rake to the eyes. Marty can't see and breaks referee Chris Roberts fingers due to his temporary blindness. Kyle rolls up Marty but Marty rolls through and applies the chicken wing in the middle of the ring and Kyle is forced to tap out. Afterwards, both men put the other over on the microphone with Kyle saying Marty is one of the best he's ever faced in the ring and tells him to bring that God damn Best of Super Juniors trophy back to the UK. Kyle then adds why he loves working for Rev Pro and challenges KUSHIDA to a rematch from their 2015 Uprising classic at the British J Cup in July. That was a strange match which didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. It was a strange blend of comedy and serious wrestling but picked up towards the end. The closing stages saved the match from me going out of my way to completely bury it. Maybe it suffered from me be far too excited to see it and it not quite living up to the hype I had for it going in. Winner: The Villain Marty Scurll Overall another very good Cockpit show put on by Rev Pro. These shows are becoming can't miss shows each and every month and this one was pretty much the same. The storyline developments of Eddie Dennis, Gideon Gray, Sha Samuels and Rob Lias still has this reviewer captivated. The push of Zack Gibson and Jinny is really beginning to pick up steam as well. I enjoyed four matches on this show and would urge you to go as check them out. Dijak vs Bodom, #CCK vs The Riots, the contender's opener and main event were all very good. So thanks again and remember if you haven't checked out Rev Pro then buy a ticket to one of the cockpit shows or even a York Hall show they do have Rey Mysterio over on August 17th for Summer Sizzler so that would probably be a tremendous starting off point for you all new to BritWres or those who have been to BritWres shows and have just discovered Rev Pro either through this review or by just reading about it on the Internet. Or if you can't check it out then head on over to Pivotshare and subscribe to Rev Pro on demand it's well worth the price of admission. Again thanks for reading my review and as always I'll rip off my favourite writer in wrestling Bill Apter by adding I'll see you at the matches. @Billy_Jay83 Rev Pro was back for its big York Hall show for the Easter spectacular on April 13th featuring a killer main event. As The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) made their way to these shores for four big matches. As you would expect, Rev Pro sold out the York Hall days after this announcement but it wasn't just about the main event featuring The Elite, as the under card featured Zack Sabre Jr. Facing NJPW Junior Heavyweight Ace KUSHIDA and 'The Villain' Marty Scurll took on IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion Hiromu Takahashi among other things on this stacked show.
It's your usual open and its right into the first match of the evening. RPW British Tag Team Title Match: #CCK (Travis Banks & Chris Brookes) Vs Sami Callihan and 'The Governor' Martin Stone This was a decent opener and featured some very solid action as you would expect from these four accomplished workers. The only problem I had with it was apart from an angle on TV to set up this match, why did this match exist? It only existed it seems to get all four men on the show and it felt very unimportant because of it. Of course #CCK looked like stars here, and Banks and Brookes had many better outings at Easter but maybe a rematch with Redman and Sterling would have been better? But then they wanted Stone and Callihan on the show so this match had to happen I guess. The finish saw Banks and Brookes hit the assisted Codebreaker and then a Superkick to pick up the win and retain their gold. Winners: #CCK (Travis Banks & Chris Brookes) (And Still RPW British Tag Team Champions) Afterwards 'The Governor' grabbed the microphone and said something but I couldn't really make it out due to the poor quality of the audio. Basically I would assume he put over Rev Pro, York Hall and thanked Sami Callihan. Then the two celebrated and out of nowhere Sami drilled Stone with a big boot and a cradle tombstone Piledriver. Sami then cut a promo on Stone and the audience. Again I'd like to tell you what he said but I could barely hear him due to the piss poor audio. Singles Match: Jay White Vs Angelico The hot streak continued as this was a good match but are you really surprised as these two are very talented workers? All the action was solid as well and the crowd actually seemed to enjoy unlike other Jay White matches which elected very little response from the York Hall crowd. I've actually not really enjoyed Jay White's mini push as I can't see it going anywhere. It's not like Rev Pro have a mid card title (I don't class the Cruiserweight title as a mid card belt). Which would be perfect for Jay at the moment in Rev Pro and Jay isn't over enough to earn a crack at the Rev Pro champion Zack Sabre Jr. unless they book it for a Cockpit show, but do you end Jay's unbeaten run in Rev Pro in 2017 on a Cockpit show? To be honest I don't know the answer. Anyway my only complaint about this match would be it felt long and only went about 13 minutes. After lots of back and fourth Jay white countered a hurricanrana into his Boston crab and Angelico was forced to tap out. Winner: Jay White Singles Match: Zack Gibson Vs Hirooki Goto/with Will Ospreay Finally Zack Gibson got booked against an NJPW regular and a real big name after a hot start to 2017 in Rev Pro and its richly deserved in this reviewers opinion. If Andy books you against an NJPW regular then it normally means you're in line for a big push which again I more than back Andy for doing with Liverpool's Number One! His work in Progress hasn't gone unnoticed by this reviewer and I'm a big fan. Zack got some good heat during his introduction and after Goto's entrance he cut his 'Liverpool Number One' promo which got monstrous levels of heat. I hope Rev Pro, Progress and ITV realise what a monster heel this guy could be and push him to the moon before his shtick actually starts getting him cheered because his in ring talents are so good he'll start get respected down the line in my opinion. Zack was more than solid here against Goto and wasn't carried in anyway whatsoever and Goto sold all of Gibson's offence which you would expect from a pro and solid hand like Goto. Gibson proved he was more than capable of the NJPW strong style with his strikes and in the middle of match built his heat well. Gibson came close to victory with a Codebreaker but only got a near fall and then wrapped Goto into the Shankley Gates but Goto refused to tap. This lead to Gibson grabbing a car stereo but Will Ospreay and Gibson got into a tug of war over the foreign object. Zack won the tug of war but Goto recovered and put Zack into a rear naked choke then Goto dropped Zack with a GTR to pick up the win via pinfall. A rather strange finish. You could argue the car stereo spot was too much comedy as it did elect a response of laughter during quiet a serious match. Overall I really liked this match obviously but I was a little disappointed in the car stero spot and the fact Zack Gibson is no longer undefeated but he couldn't have lost his undefeated streak to a better candidate and I hope Goto comes back later on in the summer for Rev Pro. Winner: Hirooki Goto Non title champion vs champion match: ROH World Tv Champion 'The Villain' Marty Scurll Vs IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi To start out the match Takahashi licks 'The Villain's' umbrella which doesn't seem to sit to well with Marty who proceeds to smash Takahashi upside the mouth with his assaulted umbrella. Sweet JEEZUS that looked liked it hurt. Referee Chris Roberts then rings the bell and Marty pins Hiromu for a two count. Marty then charges a dazed Takahashi in the corner but Takahashi gets his boot up and sends Marty to the outside. Takahashi follows it up with a clothesline to 'The Villain'. Dropkick by Takahashi gets a two count and then he applies a chin lock. Marty finds a way out but Takahashi grounds him with a knee to the back. Takahashi goes for a Suplex but Marty counters it and sends Takahashi to the outside. Marty then does his superkick off the ring apron spot and then the two brawl on the outside. Back in the ring Marty pulls at Takahashi's face then drops a knee across his face for a two count. Marty works over Takahashi with the Sanders special then begins to chop at Hiromu in the corner. Marty then poses and taunts the crowd for a bit as Takahashi sells Marty's chops. Takahashi battled back and sends Marty to the outside with a spear. Then Takahashi does his insane looking missile dropkick from the ring apron out onto Scurll. That spot still makes me wince every time Takahashi does it! ack in the ring Takahashi drills Marty with a cradle bomb for a two count. Scurll battles back with his "superkick...just kidding" and then Marty spikes Takahashi with a brain buster. Marty covers Takahashi for a near fall then signals for a Chicken Wing but gets cut off by Takahashi with a big slap and a German suplex for a two. Both men exchange forearms which sends Scurll onto the ring apron then Takahashi superkicks Marty but it only rocks 'The Villain'. Takahashi then goes for a sunset flip powerbomb from the ring apron but Marty blocks the move by raking Takahashi's eyes. 'The Villain' does some more taunts and poses before the two battle it out on the ramp way. Both men then go back and fourth teasing a suplex on the ramp which Marty eventually wins and drills Takahashi by the big screen. Another superkick by the villain on the stairs by the ring and then Marty takes a big run up and runs into another superkick by Takahashi. Roberts begins to count both men down and both men barely make it back into the ring. Both men exchange forearms in the middle of the ring while on their knees. This exchange goes on for a while but the shots look stiff and convincing. Marty grabs Takahashi's fingers and snaps them as the crowd call him a "sick fuck". Marty locks in the Chicken Wing and Takahashi has nowhere to go and eventually seems as if he has passed out but Takahashi battles out of the hold. Marty is in disbelief then makes a mistake as Takahashi recovers and gives Marty a German into the corner and follows it up with a double foot stomp. Takahashi then picks up Marty and clocks him with a big forearm and drives him into the corner with a Death Valley driver. Takahashi then nails Marty with a Ticking Time Bomb and covers him for one, two and three. Another quality contest which had more twists and turns than a country lane in Wales. You could argue the wrong man went over but seriously is a loss for Marty really going to hurt him at this point in Rev Pro? He's still one of Andy Quildan's most over acts in RPW so I can't see how this loss was a bad thing. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if this lead to a rematch between the two down the line as this match was really rather good! Winner: Hiromu Takahashi RPW Undisputed British Cruiserweight Title Unification Match: Will Ospreay (RPW British Cruiserweight Champion) Vs Josh Bodom (RPW Interim British Cruiserweight Champion) So here we go another bloody Josh Bodom match to review. So let's see if one of the most annoying and unreliable people in BritWres can win me over here! Bodom jumps Ospreay before the bell and beats him down on the mat. Will comes back with a leg grapevine but Bodom just makes the ropes. The two then battle on the outside and Will drives Bodom knee first into the ring post. The two exchange chops on the outside then brawl with one another on the outside. Will continues to work over Bodom on the outside then will goes for a dive but Bodom cuts him off and Will falls from the top rope onto the ring rope back first. Will who had a heavily tapped back looked very hurt indeed (in fact Will's selling was damn near perfect here). Bodom then did a flip dive put onto Ospreay, taking a page out of Ospreay's book. Bodom rolls Ospreay into the ring and gets a two count. Bodom works over Will's back and again Will is selling was damn near perfect. Rather surprisingly I'm about to put over Josh Bodom here as he was beginning to win me over with his psychology as he worked over Will's back in more and more vicious ways during the entire match. Will battles back by going back to work on Bodom's knee. Will applies a single leg crab but Bodom battled out. Will then comes back with a cheeky Nandos kick for a two count. Will follows it up with a phenomenal forearm smash then will goes for a Rainmaker but Josh counters it and eats a spin kick instead. Will nails Bodom with a Falcon Arrow for a near fall then goes back to the Boston crab. Will continues to zero in on Bodom's knee but Josh comes back with an enziguri to Will's lower back. Bodom hits a standing shooting star press for a near fall. Josh taunts Will and slaps him about then snapmares Will and kicks him square in the back. Bodom continues to talk trash which fires up Will and the two exchange kicks. Will goes for an Os-cutter but Bodom catches him and German suplexes will for another near fall. Will springboards up to the middle rope and comes off looking for a hurricanrana but Bodom counters it with a Bodom breaker. Bodom sells his knee and covers Will for another near fall. Bodom stomps on Will's back over and over again then begins to remove the tape from Will's back and continues to beat down Ospreay's back. Bodom is vicious here and I'm loving the fact he's doing this rather than the silly nonsense he normally does. Will counters Bodom and takes him down with a version of the sharpshooter. Zack Gibson hits the ring and distracts referee Chris Roberts as Bodom frantically taps out. Will is forced to break the hold and decks Zack off the apron. Bodom recovers and throws Will onto the apron and goes for a bliss buster but Will counters and kicks Bodom off into the middle of the ring. Will does a springboard 450 to Andy Quildan's delight but only gets a two count. Will follows it up with a revolution kick and goes for the Os-cutter once again but up pops Gibson who pulls Will's feet onto the apron and Bodom takes advantage hitting his bliss buster to the delight of the crowd for the one, two and three. If you've read my reviews before you will know I've been incredibly critical of Josh Bodom as of late but here I could I be he put in a hell of shift and proved to me what Andy quildan already knows and that is he's a incredible worker but I'll add when he wants to be. The cheap distraction actually worked for me here but Josh, please mate, don't do it every match that shtick was getting old very quickly. I think what made this match for me was Will's selling and Josh Bodom's perfect use of psychology by the way he worked over Will's back maybe it because he was told too by Will and Andy but whatever it was he was on fire on this night in the York Hall! So there you go folks, after six shows I've found something nice to say about Josh Bodom. Let's hope he continues to show me what he can really do and continues to have matches like these. Winner: Josh Bodom (And Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion) No DQ Grudge Match: Sha Samuels Vs James Castle After months of build the former tag team partners finally collided in the York Hall. I can't say I was overly looking forward to this and felt maybe they could have had a big bloody war on one of the Cockpit shows rather than rush it onto a card where people may not have been so familiar with the build to his one. I would be wrong as this was actually the perfect pay off to there feud and with its finish could go on and on for months. It was a hot start as the two begin brawling in the aisle way. The two brawl on the outside. Back in the ring Sha whipped Castle with his suspenders but James refused to stay down and showed some good fire here when no selling the suspender shots. Castle battled back and grabbed the chair he brought to the ring with him and began to clobber Sha with it onto his back. Back on the outside Castle grabbed an honest to God saw and teased killing Sha with it but obviously he had it taken away from him by the ring crew. Sha meanwhile went up top and moonsaulted out onto castle and the ring crew. Back in the ring Sha smashed Castle over and over again with the chair while referee Chris Roberts tried to step in to get Sha to stop. Sha was rather displeased this mug tried to step in and slapped him then went and slammed Roberts (it looked to me as if Roberts sandbagged Sha when he tried to pick him up for the slam but it wasn't on purpose of course). Castle came back with a low blow, brain buster and a double foot stomp for a two count. Castle, the babyface, was getting booed throughout his comeback for some reason. Sha came back with a double a spine buster to cheers. Then Sha grabbed the chair and took too long as he taunted the crowd and Castle got up and nailed Sha with a running knee smash which sent the chair back into Sha's face. Castle pinned Sha for the three as the crowd booed the triumphant babyface. Afterwards Sha nailed James with the steel chair and proceeded to beat the holy hell out of him with the chair to cheers. Sha pulls out a pair of scissors and begins to cut off castles massive green mohawk. At least this got some boos but seriously by this crowds reaction, it's best that Andy turns Sha face and Castle goes back to being a heel. Passable match which elected the wrong kind of reaction from this crowd. Shame as I rather enjoyed it. Winner: James Castle RPW British Heavyweight Title Match: Zack Sabre Jr (Champion) Vs KUSHIDA Up next was one of the matches I was most looking forward too as Zacky three belts took on the NJPW Junior Ace KUSHIDA. Not quite sure what made KUSHIDA the number one contender but I'll roll with it as this was a dream match in my eyes. Zack and KUSHIDA tie up and Zack immediately takes him down and grapple on the mat. Both men get up and go straight back into it by grappling on the mat. KUSHIDA applies a arm bar to Zack but he counters and both men get up and face one another to cheers. They lock up again and Zack has KUSHIDA in a full nelson. Again both counter and reverse the others hold and stand back up. KUSHIDA signals he wants the RPW title and Zack sheepishly laughs it off. Zack gets KUSHIDA in a knuckle lock and both men go back and forth on the hold. They both try to get the others shoulders onto the mat and then pop up back up again. Zack applies a head scissors but KUSHIDA comes out of it with a headstand but Zack wraps his leg back around KUSHIDA's throat. Zack transitions into a arm bar but KUSHIDA reaches the ropes. Both men face off and KUSHIDA goes for a single leg and takes Zack down and applies a arm bar. Zack counters with a snapmare and applies a chin lock but KUSHIDA counters into another arm bar. Zack rolls through and kicks KUSHIDA under the chin to break the hold. Zack goes for a headlock while raking the eyes then KUSHIDA executes a hip toss and a dropkick. The two grapple some more and KUSHIDA has the arm bar on Zack but the champ doesn't sweat it and reaches the ropes. KUSHIDA then stomps on Zack's arm and begins to go back to working over the arm. KUSHIDA kicks Zack in the arm then goes for a handspring off the ropes but Zack cuts him off with a kick to the back of the head. Zack removes the tape from his wrist then goes back to working over KUSHIDA by standing on his head. Zack takes down KUSHIDA with a single leg and applies an STF while grinding his elbow into KUSHIDA's face. Zack is putting on a masterclass here as usual. Zack works over KUSHIDA in the corner with forearms which only fires up the Junior Ace. Dropkick by Zack to the side of KUSHIDA's head an Zack goes back to the arm bar. Zack pulls back KUSHIDA hand and then stomps over an over again onto KUSHIDA's hand. Zack removes the rest of his wrist tape while KUSHIDA gets up and eggs Sabre on. Sabre unloads with some elbow and forearm strikes. Sabre then counters a bicycle kick by KUSHIDA and takes down KUSHIDA into an ankle lock and transitions into a leg bar and twists KUSHIDA's ankle in a number of different positions. KUSHIDA breaks free by kicking his way out of the hold and then leg grapevines Sabre's leg. Sabre reaches the ropes and the hold is broken by referee Chris Roberts. The two exchange kicks and KUSHIDA goes up top but Zack cuts him off and arm bars him while up top. KUSHIDA reverses into a Hoverboard lock an then leaps off the top while holding onto the hold onto the mat. KUSHIDA kicks at Zack's arm then dropkicks it. Sabre battles back with a European uppercut but KUSHIDA cuts him off and takes him down with an arm bar. Zack again just reaches the ropes. Sabre applies a Minuro Suzuki style sleeper and then goes into a guillotine choke. Sabre then drills KUSHIDA with a German suplex. Zack tries to follow it up with a penalty kick but ducks and rolls up Zack and gets him into the Hoverboard lock. KUSHIDA doesn't have it cinched in and Zack gets out of hold. Zack then nails KUSHIDA with not one but two penalty kicks and then takes a rest. Zack toys with KUSHIDA by kicking him in the face. Zack begs KUSHIDA to get up and the two exchange chops. Zack then goes for a triangle and transitions into a arm bar in the middle of the ring. KUSHIDA tries with all his might to make it too the ropes and does to break the hold. Zack stalks his pray and goes for a full nelson but KUSHIDA battles out with a forearm smash. Zack grabs KUSHIDA by the hair but KUSHIDA again won't stay down and kicks Zack and gives him a dragon suplex for a near fall. KUSHIDA goes for a moonsualt but Zack catches him in the triangle. KUSHIDA then counters into a Hoverboard lock and now Zack has nowhere to go. Zack goes for a escape but KUSHIDA holds on. Zack then counters into a roll up and gets a two count on KUSHIDA. Both men exchange uppercuts in the middle of the ring then KUSHIDA nails Zack with Pele kick and handspring elbow but Zack catches KUSHIDA. Zack has KUSHIDA trapped in a sleeper but he rolls over but then so does Zack who has KUSHIDA down on the mat and Zack gets the three count. This was a near 30 minute master class by both men by far my favourite match of the night. You better believe the hype because Zack Sabre Jr. is the man and is there really nobody better than him at the moment. KUSHIDA and Zack just clicked out there and delivered what this reviewer expected. By far my match of the night and by far my favourite Rev Pro match this year. Winner: Zack Sabre Jr (And Still RPW British Heavyweight Champion) MAIN EVENT Six Man Tag: The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) Vs 'The All Day Star' Ryan Smile, Lio Rush and 'The International King Of Swerve' Shane Strickland Finally it was time for the main event and the reason almost 90% of these fans were here and that was to see The Elite. The previous evening The Elite were in Scotland and now it was London's turn to see three of the greatest in ring performers of the last two years. The crowd gave Omega and The Bucks a heroes welcome. The crowd was super hot for them as you would expect and chanted their names very loudly even before a bell was rung. Unfortunately Strickland, Smile and Rush were just treated like faceless jobbers but that would change before the end of the match. Lio and Matt Jackson started out and circled one another around the ring as the crowd began to sing Lio rushes name. The two tied up and we got some honest to God wrestling early on. Both men exchanged strikes and then Lio gave Matt a hurricanrana. Kenny came in and was rather quickly sent packing with a kick by Lio and the same happened to Nick Jackson. Matt tagged Nick and he asked for Shane Strickland and in he came. The two worked an arm bar going back and fourth with one another. Nick teased a superkick but Shane was wise to it and then Nick did his suck it spot. Ryan came in and then everyone proceeded to miss a move on the other. Then all six all had the same thing in mind as all six went for a dropkick. The Elite then went for a superkick but Team Smile caught the kicks and spun them around and dropkicked them to the outside. Lio and Ryan went for a dive but Kenny pulled both men out of the ring. Shane was left and he went for a dive but the Bucks moved and as Shane landed he was cut off with a superkick. Kenny and Matt then gave Ryan and Lio a powerbomb onto the ring apron as Nick went up top and he dived out onto Lio and Ryan with senton splash. The Elite got in the ring and took in the applause of the crowd. Back in the ring matt worked over Shane with stomps. They then rammed Shane's head into Nick's boot in the corner. Kenny was in and he did the same but this time with all four boots. Basically The Elite did this spot all Easter and it was masterful how they got the crowd to react accordingly when doing it. Shane battled back with a big enziguri and he tagged Lio who took out all three of his opponents. Lio hit a handspring elbow smash to both Bucks an dived out onto all three members of The Elite. Lio, Ryan and Shane run elbow smashes over an over again into Kenny for a two count. Ryan missed a double stomp and ate a bulldog from Kenny. The Bucks then superkicked both Lio and Shane to the outside. The Elite then did the Terminator spot to a massive pop and chant of "Be Elite". Back in the ring the Bucks nailed Ryan and Lio with a superkicks then a double stomp to both Lio and Ryan. The Elite then applied a trio of sharpshooters to Ryan, Lio and Shane respectively while Too Sweeting one another. The Bucks then went for a Meltzer driver but Ryan battled out of it. Kenny came in and got superkicked by Ryan. Shane then gave Matt a sling shot cutter and then gave Kenny a reverse rana. Shane then jumped onto Matt's chest and moonsaulted out onto Kenny and Nick. Back in the ring Shane missed a double foot stomp and Kenny then nailed him with a jumping knee. Lio and Ryan returned and double teamed Kenny. Then Omega was hit with a Spanish Fly by Lio and Shane while Ryan came off the top rope with a frog splash. Lio then did a frog splash and Shane followed it up with a double foot stomp for a near fall which was broken up by a Nick Jackson swanton bomb. Matt did the punch and suck it spot to Ryan Smile and then Lio gave Matt a big superkick but Matt fired back with one of his own. Nick then gave Ryan a superkick and Kenny gave Shane the big running knee smash. Kenny went for a one winged angel and went to counter it with a reverse rana but Kenny held on and in came the Bucks who nailed Shane with a double superkick. Kenny dumped Strickland off of his shoulders and into the path of the bucks who superkicked him. Kenny then gave Strickland a dragon suplex. Shane was out on his knees and The Elite then began to argue over who should superkick Shane which lead to a nonsensical spot of Matt being blinded and low blowing Kenny. Anyway all three got on the same page and all three superkicked Shane for a near fall. Kenny tagged Matt (at this point did tags even matter?) Again the Bucks went for the Meltzer driver but Lio pulled Shane out of harms way and now Lio was in position for the five star move. Ryan came in but Kenny sent him to the outside. Nick did a moonsualt out onto Ryan as Kenny hoisted shane up into position for the meltzer driver as well and they hit a double Meltzer driver for the one, two and three. Well that was pretty damn good wasn't it? All six put in a great performance here and should be proud with that match. Is there really anyone better than The Elite at these crazy six mans? You could make the argument for will Ospreay plus two team mates or British Strong Style, but I would have to say I think that honour falls to The Elite. If you haven't seen this match then go out of your way to see it. In fact if you haven't seen other matches featuring The Elite that weekend then go out and see them. After seeing three of their four matches from Easter I think every match felt different but was exactly the same and that is why these three are such great performers at the moment. Winners: The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) I'll finish by saying this and that is this show was well worth the 8 bucks a month Rev Pro charge for their on demand service. So if you want to see it then go there and subscribe now. I'm still standing by opinion that Sabre vs KUSHIDA was the match of the night for me, but it my not be everyone's cup of tea. Then again, what was everyone's cup of tea is The Elite v Smile, Rush and Strickland. So that's it thanks for reading my very long review of Rev Pro's Epic Encounter 2017 and I'll use the line Bill Apter always does to finish his reviews, I'll see you at the matches! @Billy_Jay83 |
